Something to keep in mind is it's also not just 4 years, it's 4 years where he has played starter minutes from day 1. He's had more than enough opportunity to show what he can do. People want to compare him to Lowry a lot saying how we should be patient but late bloomers aren't traditionally guys who play a ton of minutes in the NBA from the start. They're like Lowry who bounce around a bit and aren't starters right away, not usually Top 5 picks who have averaged 34 mpg in their first 4 seasons.

Scottie Pippen says hello and I'm sure there's plenty of others players can list

Scotty Pippen was an all star in year 3 and key piece of a championship team in year 4

Scottie Pippen also played with the best player ever. And a top 5 coach ever.

If he was able to do this every night, he would shut everyone up. Question is how often can he do it and whether he can do it at all against better teams?

He’s done this plenty of times against great teams and superstars. He usually shows up for those. It’s the other games where he’s inconsistent.

Look, it's real simple, all he has to do is go 31/6/4 with super high effeciency while being clutch down the stretch every single night and we'll be satisfied. Is that really too much to ask? /s

I don't know about that, I think a lot of it is still a skill limitation factor. When he doesn't have the physical advantage, it's difficult for him to get going out there.

I'm actually the happiest person I know and the only aspect of my life where I'm completely miserable is with Scottie Barnes because it's his fault and he's making lots more money now. /s

just remember the people who want to trade Scottie are the same people who want to tank for 10yrs to get a few top-5 picks.

Quite a few guys I'd take over him from that draft when factoring in contracts

Feel free to list.

Really I would love to see it.

You have 2 players you can argue been as good drafted behind him. Sengun got a much better deal so can see a argument but that?

So please... Indulge us. Green and Giddy really get you hot and bothered?

Cade, Wagner and Mobley are no brainers in that draft class.

Sengun, I think most people would also take over Scottie.

Then, you have Trey Murphy making 28m and Jalen Johnson at 30m who I think are also much better value than Scottie on the Max. Both are better offensive players than Scottie and could end up being the better overall player too as they're still ascending and took big jumps in their games last season.

Giddey is actually an interesting one too, 25m will end up being an extreme bargain if the post ASG performance is for real. Probably too close to call for me whether I take him over Scottie but it's tempting because of how good he was down the stretch last season that even a slight regression still would make the contract a great one.

So, that's 6-7 guys probably that I would take over him factoring in contracts.
