He might be 15 he might be 18. That’s where I’m confused, because if he’s actually 15/16 that’s still very good for that age. If he’s 18, though, this charade helps no one.

Taking high school twice helped helped Thon Maker make the league in a situation where I'm not sure he was a d1 prospect otherwise.

This is Mike Tyson at the age of 14. I know I didn't look anything like this at 13, even now. Some people are genetic freaks.

With that said, I'll never feel comfortable with foreign prospects without documentation.

That Tyson photo and the fact Greg Oden looked 95 makes me think it's possible the kid is 13. I have doubts.

14 is already puberty age. At age 14 you have all kinds of different body types and maturity levels. But I bet Tyson did not look like this at age 11.

But this is Dabone at age 11.

This is Dabone at age 12 dominating 17 year olds

This is Dabone at age 12. Notice how it says 6'10. He is still 6'10. So apparently the tallest 12 year old in the world did not grow a single inch since then, at the age where boys have the most growth

What just crossed my mind, this dude is probably 20 and goes to class with 10 year olds. Dude is old enough to drink and go to war and is sharing a classroom with 5th graders. That's crazy and disgusting af and what's even more crazy is that a society allows something like this simply because everyone is afraid of being called racist

He had a couple crazy blocks today but wan't very impactful. His team lost and it was actually his teammate Kone who gave the canarian bigmen more trouble.

Who is allowing this? Like what are you talking about? There are investigations during the Olympics on age cheating all the time.

He's also playing in Spain's 6th highest league and currently averaging 7 ppg. It's a league where guys practice 2 to 3 times a week. That said, guys with physical traits generally have it easier in higher leagues cause there's more space compared to those minor leagues where teams tend to score 50 to 60 points per game.

It's not 6th division. Hard to compare since it's u22 league and quality of teams is very variable but i'd say on average it's between mid 3rd and top 4th division level. BTW they practice almost like a pro team.

We will never know his real age, but I’m assuming he’s 15-17. The more relevant questions at this point is is he improving and what can he do at a high level when the time comes.

That's not what I said. I said he's ALSO playing in Spain's 6th division, which is called Copa Catalunya in Catalonia. And, like I said, the teams in that league practice 2 to 3 times a week. Obviously, Dabone and other young prospects aren't training 2 to 3 times a week, they should be practicing multiple times a day, ideally.

You can follow his scoring numbers and shooting percentages here: https://www.basquetcatala.cat/estadistiques/jugador/2025/beb4031e-ab15-4603-913e-70097ad002c0/MOHAMED%20SAMSOUDINE%20DABONE/80965

They don't track other stats, cause it's really just a minor league. I was surprised Barcelona even signed up for that league, but they still managed to lose a game so maybe this year's team isn't as good as the ones that they used to have that would routinely blow out teams in Spain's 4th division.

His national team listed him at 17 like two years ago.
