It really felt like they knew every pitch we threw. It was that bad. Is that great scouting/preparation? Fried and Rodon were two of the top pitchers in the league this year. They looked like batting practice and the bullpen had one good game against the Blew Jays?

If they don't go all out to win moving forward then trade Judge and blow it the fuq up. This isn't a winning formula.

Boone is a puppet. Even if he gets fired, nothing will change until:

1) Cashman and his analytical staff of people, who have never played baseball at the professional level, figure out that having every batter in the line up try to be like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton instead of putting the ball in play, batting to their strengths, and making defenses actually have to work is an idea that doesn't work in the post season.

2) Cashman builds a roster that makes sense and lets the manager actually manage. Alex Rodriguez and Jeter lit into Brian after the elimination and I agree 100% with both of them

It's not Boone. It's Cashman.

If true... Boone should quit and say why he quit.

Toronto was so focused on beating the Yankees to the point that they forgot that it was only the division series.

I’ll raise you one better. It’s Hal. George wanted his son in law to take over the Yankees. He knew Hal didn’t love the Yankees. Hal is a finance bro at heart…he just wants to run a bank and screw over the general public, not run a baseball team

Hal and Cashman are probably pissed off as hell right now. They needed the narrative to be “the Yankees just lost to a really good team, not the Yankees lost to some jokers”

Literally wasting Judge's career.

Looks like MLB is desperately trying to create a Dodgers dynasty!

It’s crazy how the Yankees have ceded the “championships or bust” mentality and the entire Japanese market to the Dodgers

A lot more attention needs to be given to this...this is the biggest gap between the Yankees and Dodgers.

Aaron Judge has this mentality.

One of the reasons Shohei went to the Dodgers was because they admitted they were failures for not winning the World Series...

"One thing that really stands out in my head," he said, "when I had the meeting with the Dodgers, the ownership group, they said when they looked back at the last 10 years, even though they made the playoffs every single year, won one World Series ring, they considered that a failure. And when I heard that, I knew they were all about winning, and that's exactly how I feel."

It wasn't like George was perfect, but damn, he wanted it as bad as some of us do here. Even Dolan is willing to spend to win.

After seeing Cashman basically gaslight the fanbase about his disastrous decisions and then this chart, it's clear that as long as nearly a billion dollars in revenue keeps rolling in, the bare minimum spending and horrible management is perfectly fine.

I'm rooting for Seattle I guess we'll really Milwaukee (haha right). But I think it would best for the Yankees if the Dodgers won it all.

I do believe the Dodgers winning will put a tremendous amount of pressure on Cashman and Hal like we have never seen before, from even the media that are pro Cash and Hal and the fans that are pro Cash and Hal.

The Dodgers going back to back Cashman and Hal will be a part of the story and not in a good way. If any of the other 3 teams win it all the mainstream media will be like ok cool onto the NFL and NBA season and Hal will be like "see this team did it so we can do it too so we don't need to make any changes the playoffs are a crap shoot".

It will be a much bigger story in the mainstream and NY media if the Dodgers win it all.

Someone needs to ask Cashman if he still believes the playoffs are a crapshoot!

That’s a scary result. If the Dodgers win and the pressure for Hal to spend increases, he’s probably going to lead the charge to do a lockout. He’s already pissed about MLB and streaming rights, and he’s already leading the charge to handicap one of his competitive advantages by making more stringent luxury tax rules.

That's what's going to have to happen in all likelihood it's going to have to get ugly, really ugly before it gets better.

Hal is unserious about winning, so let's face it. He feels "pretend" pressure, making an annual appearance to talk about how disappointed he is, but failing to attach blame to where it belongs and actually DOING something significant about it. NO GM in professional sports has done so little with so much and yet, "job for life"

This team is so far removed from competing with the Dodgers, it's absurd to think they are even in the same "league". Since Hal has limits to papering over Cashman's big contractual mistakes and trades, the alternative is a top to bottom scrubbing of the organization, which will happen...never.

Yah. Or Hal could maybe realize that it’s a good thing he makes a **** ton of money and that he will make more money if he wins and the Yankees brand is strong.

Might be a bit too late for that though, tbh. Yankees brand is definitely shyt right now.

Judge should be seething right now watching Ohtani play like a god.

Like if he wants to win, he needs to make Brian Cashman's life difficult starting this winter. Open your mouth and start demanding changes.

The idea of playoff baseball being a crap shoot is a load of garbage. The Blue Jays knew exactly how to play against this team, that wasn't luck that was preparation and execution.
