Yeah. They likely and should play it safe. It a week before the season starts so we will see. I’d expect he might miss at least a few games.
Hamstrings are unfortunately notoriously bothersome and generally take longer than you think. I know some of us are Patriots fans, Christian Gonzalez hurt his hamstring in training camp and we were told he would be ready by opening day. 3 weeks of preseason and 4 weeks of regular season it took for him to finally return.
IIRC JB has had hamstring injuries his entire career. I remember him saying it before. He must play through them, because he hasn’t missed any time that for it. If he does miss time, it’s probably serious.

Interesting he is apparently a 6'7 guard from St Johns.. I guess brad is thinking if we cut one former player from St. John's. We get to bring in another..
Maybe Hal has more info.. from what I read, he doesn't appear to be a shooter. Perhaps he is more of a playmaker..

Nah, Scott isn't much of a playmaker. The sell for him is he's a 3&D wing with decent height. Kind of like a Tony Snell type, but worse.
Didn't shoot it well from 3 last season but his sophomore and junior seasons he did shoot well from 3..his volume on 3PA has been good last couple years (a good indicator that shooting could improve over time) and the FT% has been very good in recent years..so there's optimism that over time he'll be a decent shooter.
But overall, he's not that good which is why he went undrafted and couldn't even get a 2-way contract..just a g league roster guy..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Thankfully, the NBA season starts tomorrow. The waiver wire scanning for an end-of-roster cut to replace one of our 2-ways is almost done.

Walsh could be cut to save space. No decision yet on Baylor either on him getting a 3rd year. These decisions I believe have to be made in the next 12 hours.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Scheierman's option deadline is 10/31
Walsh deadline may have just passed at 5EST (meaning he's picked up for the season) because season's opening night is tomorrow for the TNT games and rosters have to be set befor the season starts. But it could be tomorrow, I am not sure

Re: Celtics 2025-26, Season Thread
Hoepfully Brown plays. This team without both Brown or White is a bottom feeder. With Tatum gone at least for the remainder of this calendar year, we need Brown's gravity and scoring to be competitive. White is an iron man and have little doubt about his durability anymore. He looks ready for the increased workload.
Get into the new calendar year around .500, acquire a decent/solid big man so we don't have to play guys like Tillman/Garza and Tatum will be close to coming back. That would be the best case scenario. Honestly, Tatum at 75-80% would be huge because you expect White to turn into a decent#2/elite#3 option and Pritchard to become a consistent scorer. The offense could be a lot more balanced come play off time as opposed to the iso ball we saw last post season.

Joe's strengths has to be appreciated because no matter how good the coach is in X's and O's, if players don't respect and listen to the coach, the team will be going nowhere.
Everybody agrees that Taylor Jenkins is a good coach.
But what happened to him?
Players tuned him out and he was fired and still has no NBA coaching job at this point in time.
What Jenkins did was treat his team like it was a college team.
Some fans were wishing Joe would play 10 or more men and limit the minutes of his starters.
That's what Jenkins did.
Jenkins ended up getting fired.
Joe having the respect and ear of his players is one of Joe's strengths.
The secret to coaching in the NBA is make your star players happy so that you'll end up having job security.
