I remember thos Denver line up and thinking this was insane in a good way.

Who was bringing the ball down the court there? Millsap, Jokic?

Jokic, he was the PG in this lineup.

I remember the day the Bucks rolled out this line-up. Middleton the smallest at 6-8.

PG: Khris Middleton (6-8)
SG: Giannis Antetokounmpo (6-11)
SF: Nikola Mirotic; (6-10)
PF: Ersan Ilyasova (6-10)
C: Brook Lopez (7-0)

Two absolute turnstiles at the forward positions lol

Considering that Giannis had 43/15 in this game and the Bucks still lost would prove your statement to be largely correct.

Dorian Finney Smith 6'11, 7'0

Any teams seriously thinking about using it? Lots of team loaded up with bigs this summer (Denver comes to mind).

DFS is 6'7

Hunter 6'8" - 7'2" wingspan
Mitchell 6'3" - 6'10" wingspan
Merrill 6'4" - 6'5" wingspan, he's the spot starter until Garland gets back from his June surgery.

That's the starters, but you can do better with a bench lineup.

PG - Lonzo Ball 6'6" - 6'9" wingspan
SG - Hunter 6'8" - 7'2" wingspan
SF - Dean Wade 6'9" - 6'10" wingspan
PF - Mobley 6'11" - 7'3" wingspan
C - Allen 6'9" - 7'6" wingspan

Realistic enough that Kenny could play that for a few minutes, Hunter is the only one out of position and he's got enough of a handle and wingspan to manage the 2.

Dallas can go bigger if they want, especially if they use the potential Flagg at PG lineup that they've been considering

Flagg 6'8" 7'0" wingspan
Thompson 6'5" 6'9" wingspan
Washington 6'7" 7'3" wingspan
Davis 6'10" 7'6" wingspan
Lively 7'1" 7'7" wingspan

They're pretty easy to create open 3s against but good luck in the paint against that lineup

Well, well. The Mavs actually ran that lineup to start the game against the Lakers. Gabe Vincent hit 5 threes and got fouled taking another to score 18 points in the first four minutes of the game and they largely abandoned it. Maybe going so big leaves you completely vulnerable to the 3 ball

That's three 7 footers together in one starting line-up

Yea but they probably had lil Avery Johnson in the same lineup lol

I guess the Heat could roll out a decent lineup. Bam at SG probably a stretch even though he can defend most positions and stick the three now. JJJ has been running point forward here and there or we could rely on the rook Kasparas who is legitimately a PG but not as good.
C - Ware (7'0)
PF - Achiuwa (6'8)
SF - Jovic (6'10)
SG - Adebayo (6'9)
PG - Jacquez (6'6)

Brunson - 6’1” / 6’4”
Bridges - 6’6” / 7’1”
Anunoby - 6’7” / 7’2”
Towns - 7’0” / 7’4”
Robinson - 7’0” / 7’4”

Is likely to be our best look.

League is getting bigger, for sure. Jazz will likely start as their normal lineup...

1 - Keyonte - 6'4"
2- Ace - 6'9"
3- Lauri - 7'0"
4 - Flip - 6'11"
5 - Walker - 7'0"

The Cavs have

Allen-6’10
Mobley-7 feet
Hunter- 6’8
Wade 6’8
Ball- 6’6

They could put out a very large mobile lineup when DG and Mitchell sit down.

Based on preseason, this is likely the Jazz's starting lineup--three 7-footers and a 6'9" 2-guard. It really clogs the paint.

The early 90s Rockets had 6'11 C Olajuwon, 6'10 PF Thorpe, and 6'10 SF Horry.

Yes this was mentioned a few times already in the thread. He’s 6’7. The point of the lineup is that they’re all basically 7ft+ wingspan.

A bit too tall for Kerr but it'll do for now. Until a 6-1 power forward becomes available.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

The Rockets double big package was the best +/- of any last year*, and was also crazy good +/- in the playoffs. Its only limitation was Adams endurance, coming off an ~ 2year absence. Adding KD instead of Green should be even more beneficial, though it might leave you more vulnerable against teams with 2 great quick guards.

The Rockets ARE planning on playing this a lot. That’s why adding Capela…still hate the trade, but w/e…means it might be a staple. The real variant will be Reed or Adams. I don’t think people realize that as is Sengun might be the most consistent ‘point’ player they run the offence through, a la Joker. It’s how they often played him last year, how he was used to great effectiveness by Turkey and it’s how they used him in pre-season. KD will be the go-to guy, but Sengun will be the fulcrum.

*I seem to recall a video saying it was the highest recorded since they’ve been recording it this way, but not 100%.
