possible... I would rather hold on to him and hold up the team that wants him for a first....

Most fans applaud a FO and owner group that is willing to invest to try to improve the team. I don't understand saying it's a mistake, the only harm is they spent some money.

Paying a guy a guaranteed $3.6 million for a preseason is definitely a mistake.

I'm sure there were non-guaranteed options out there. Awful

So now we're criticizing the FO for spending too much money on the team?

No, wasting money on a fringe guy that didn't deserve a guaranteed roster spot. Dumb signing.

There's no such thing as a guaranteed roster spot, only guaranteed contracts.

The issue isn’t that ownership will have to eat Dinwiddie’s salary or that this affects us with the aprons (it doesn’t)

The issue is that Jeff Peterson, in July of NBA Free Agency, made Spencer Dinwiddie a priority signing. That’s the problem. It speaks to a concerning talent identification issue, beginning with the disastrous Salaun and Green acquisitions which have been approximately 0/10 so far.

He signed him to a vet min deal and didn't hold a roster spot for him. That's not a priority signing.

Misread this. I thought Vorbis meant it wasn't a guaranteed contract.

Again pretty dumb to sign some guy guaranteed for a year and decide before the season even starts you don't want him anymore.
