Carter could learn from Marcus Smart, Dalton just needs a fresh start somewhere

I kind of like it? I feel like a 2nd should also be kicked to LAL just because Knecht looks like a decent backup shooter and Carter might be nothing, but YMMV.

Kings dont need another SG

Carter is basically a SG right now. Knecht at least has some size.

I like that, too. Helps Phoenix reset some salary, too, and Carter can defend 1s and be off-ball on offense with Booker.

So fundamentally I was more thinking Carter to the Lakers, Knecht somewhere, and the Kings get a big from somewhere

Do the Lakers need another poor-shooting defense-first project guard when they already have Bronny?

Bufkin, Dillon Jones, and Tyler Smith are all interesting names getting waived. I would take a swing on Smith first, but I bet one of the three carves out a bench niche in their career.

Add OMax Prosper to this list, he's not good, but 6'8 long forwards are always in short supply.

Dillon Jones gets traded to the Thunder, wins a championship thanks to his 45 minutes of playoff contribution, gets dealt to the Wizards, they cut him (also having to pay him), and now he gets to pick the team he wants to learn from/develop with.

Pretty nice run of small luck so far

Crazy waivings this week. I really liked Jones coming out of college; I'd be all for waiving Svi and taking a flyer on him. And Jared Butler deserves to be on a roster somewhere. He'd be an upgrade over Dillingham in Minnesota, imo.

Jones got waived. I missed that. Yeah all those guys should end up on a roster.

Dyson Daniels seeking $150 million contract extension with HawksOct. 20, 2025, 7:39 AM EDT

Reigning NBA Most Improved Player, All-Defensive First Team selection, and steals champion Dyson Daniels and agent Daniel Moldovan have been seeking a five-year, $150 million deal during extension negotiations with the Atlanta Hawks, league sources told HoopsHype. However, the Hawks have been closer to a ballpark range of five years, $115 million, during negotiations, league sources told HoopsHype.

Hoping Denver can extend Braun for a team friendly deal, but he deserves a lot of money. Can shoot, team player, will always throw himself to the floor when needed. Would love to see him take the next step and get to 18ppg as efficient as he is today.

It’s easy when it’s not your team, but Dyson seems like he’s worth 5/150 to me. That defense is completely real, not steal-gambling nonsense, and his offense (other than FT shooting, ugh) took a step forward at the same time. 49/34 is plenty solid from the field with his killer defense.

As for Detroit’s guys, Ivey isn’t happening given his injury status, and Duren seems to want more than he’s worth when you factor in his defensive struggles. Thr Pistons have a pretty clean cap sheet and seem likely to let things go to RFA next summer.
