Get DeRozan off that team and it would be interesting

Interesting can mean a lot of things.

I can see a way for it to work. DeMar needs the offense to run through him to be most effective.

He does not rebound
He does not play well off others.

Murray would be allowed to play the wing and Sabonis needs a shot blocker to help him.

Spurs are going to be a problem by end of season if they stay healthy.

I think Blazers have a 50/50 shot in the play in to make the playoffs.

VJ Edgecomb really does look like a young Westbrook with how explosive he is.

His body control is insane. He can shoot too whereas Russ couldn’t.

This rookie class is going to make some noise!

Getting Achiuwa would be a good move for us. We could buyout Carter and sign him for the min.

Not familiar with him. What's to like?

On a similar note, I saw that Seth Curry and Cam Payne both waived as well.

Sorta of a mid opening night imo. Rockets OKC and Warriors Lakers. No Lebron and no FVV. Mildly curious to see how Sengun and Luka look coming off battered post seasons. Watch to see if Chet is ready to take another step in the OKC game but otherwise that team is just on cruise control this year until May.

Warriors? Meh. Serious Curry burnout at this point and their roster is pretty middling. Jimmy is going to collapse this year I'd reckeon health wise. Be lucky to play 60 games.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Good Sharpe and Camara deals for Blazers.

4/90 and 4/82 for Camara.

I'd gladly swap Emmanuel Miller for Tyler Smith on a 2-way contract.

Coby has proven a lot more than Sharpe but it certainly is a market contract that will be used in negotiations. As will Keegan’s overpay.

Not IMO. He's tremendously athletic but not much else yet. 33% 3P from the season before, and went down instead of up to 31% last season. APG is in the 2.x range. And he's getting full starter minutes. 55% & 52% TS last 2 seasons. He actually doesn't do anything really well yet. That TS would make him the 2nd worst scorer on the Bulls after Patrick and we're not stacked, but the majority of our team is 57% TS or better.

But I think he's likely to get better, so it's a good deal to lock him up early before his performance starts getting expensive. It's a good bet.

Despite worse shooting, Sharpe's handles and ability to get to the rim are far superior to Coby's... and he's 3Y younger. I'm pretty surprised he settled on $90M. I think he'll break out this year.

Low motor and IQ.

Good bet and safety for both sides.

that sharpe deal has some obvious upside, but unless he's looked like he's taken a leap in camp, i don't think i'd want to lock him in for 4 years at $22+ million based on what he's shown

camara deal is good though. still, blazers have a weird situation where they have a decent crop of young talent and a couple of good contracts but they're basically capped out through the 2027-28 season and have a play-in ceiling (barring like, yang becoming a superstar or something)

Every once in a while I think back to the day of the draft where the Rockets picked Tari one pick before the Bulls and I get really sad again.

At least we got Dalen Terry, right?

Sharpe
His handles are considered a major area for improvement, with some analysts believing they limit his potential to become a top-tier offensive player. While he has shown flashes of good handling, particularly in creative drives and finishing, he is still developing his ability to consistently beat defenders off the dribble and can be prone to losing the ball in transition. Overall, his ball-handling is seen as a work in progress that could be a key factor in his future development, according to Reddit users and SB Nation.

Area of improvement: Ball-handlng is frequently cited as the biggest area where Sharpe needs to improve to reach his full potential as an all-star.

Strengths: He can be effective with the ball, showing creativity in drives to the basket and scoring in a variety of ways, including finishes, runners, and three-pointers.

Weaknesses: He can struggle with protecting the ball when pushing it in transition and may have trouble getting around defenders consistently with the dribble, notes SB Nation.
Potential: If he improves his ball-handling to a more consistent level, he could become an elite scorer, but his current skill level is a limiting factor.

Coby White

Strengths

Speed and driving: White is exceptionally quick, which allows him to push the pace in transition and get by defenders in the half-court with a strong first step. He is also good at finishing at the rim and draws contact.

Scoring
: He is a skilled and fearless scorer who can score from all three levels. His three-point shooting has shown steady improvement, and he can be an efficient shooter, especially when he gets into a rhythm.

Playmaking: He is a willing passer and can create opportunities for teammates, particularly in transition.

Weaknesses

Defense This has been identified as an area for significant improvement, with scouting reports consistently noting he has a long way to go on this end of the floor.

Turnovers His high speed and aggressive style can lead to sloppy passes and a high turnover rate.

Shot selection He can sometimes take difficult or ill-advised shots, particularly pull-up jumpers or contested mid-range shots, which can limit his efficiency.

Inconsistency His scoring and overall impact can be streaky, sometimes leading to liability in bad games.

Physicality While he has decent size at 6'5", his slender frame can make it difficult for him to handle the physicality of the NBA.

Coby sound like a 20 pt scorer and Sharpe sounds like role player.
