Sounds like they should rekindle their interest in Malik Monk, as part of a 3 way deal, with the Kings landing Kuzma.

Monk for Tobias Harris doesn't work financially, but Monk for Kuzma does. Harris fits the 3/4 reserve role better here than Kuzma. We land the bet player by taking on the larger contract.

They'll probably just bring Beasley back.

That won't be an option.

Is Houston going to be good enough without Van Vleet this year and possibly not so great the year after? Not sure KD cares. I think he has been interested in doing his thing, "perfecting his craft" for a while now.

Reed Sheppard getting minutes is probably the best thing for the rockets. He could be the next curry

Hope this doesn’t end his career before it starts, but wouldn’t be shocked if it does. Feel for the kid. Such a stupid choice.

I figured Pablo would come up with something with the season starting tomorrow. The whole thing has faded away with football in full gear and baseball playoffs. I think only hardcore sports fans just don't really give a ****. At some point Silver will give out some sort of punishment and it will be forgotten.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I listened to his episode with Cuban, and I came in with an open mind because I find Cuban to be less insufferable than most of his cohort.

But I was surprised that Mark's entire argument on behalf of Ballmer was that weak. Everything Mark said was based entirely on speculation and (im)plausible deniability. Mark wanted to treat every puzzle piece as a separate thing with its own absurd explanation or rationale, instead of putting the puzzle together to see the obvious. To believe Mark, you'd have to assume that a bunch of wealthy, successful business folks were investing MILLIONS in a black hole because they were too lazy or too stupid to see what it actually was - even as it was staring them right in the face!

I came away from that feeling better about Pablo's reporting.

I believe what Pablo is saying for the most part. I don't really believe anything Sanberg says though. I don't think much is going to come out of this, whether that is warranted or not.

At the end of the day I'm just looking forward to the season starting tomorrow night.

Good deal for Atlanta. The Braun deal seems fair enough/not noteworthy, but it makes Daniels' deal look like a steal IMO.

That's a good deal for Dyson. He's obviously coming off an excellent season where he performed at a level already worth those $, but the exciting thing for him/Atlanta is I think he's still got quite a bit of improvement in him. Still quite young (turned 22 this year) and growing into himself/his role in the league.

He played a lot of point guard as a junior, his playmaking IQ was always there and it was just a matter of seeing if the skills translated at this level as a secondary/tertiary playmaker. It seems to have been working so far. All the talk was about his defence last season, understandably, but he also put up 14ppg/4 apg- if he builds on his own scoring a little whilst maintaining the assist numbers and stellar defence that contract will look like a bargain (as much as paying someone $100 million can be a bargain).

His little brother Dash has made a good start to his pro-career locally in the lead up to the draft (he's very young, would be just eligible in the next draft). Similar attributes to Dyson, would love to sneak him to Milwaukee somehow to allow for some Aussie homering.

Did they find anything in his car? I think the Pacers like him, he'll get suspended, and ultimately will be fine. This is a dumb panic move but far worse **** than this has failed to end sports careers.

Braun's a good player and plays very well off of Jokic, but it should be noted that this is a lot of money for a long time for a guard who doesn't create. He's better than what else they've got but I don't think you'd have to spend 125m to 100% replace him.

To be fair to Braun, I can't recall a player in his role that played as efficiently as Braun from 2 or 3. Braun would definitely get near that much as a Buck. Then again Horst, would probably get the deal done at $15m - $18m. Horst knows how to work the cap. Braun would likely have a player option but he would sign a below rate deal. Lol.
