Who's the Best Player Out of This Group?

Post#1 » by Bad Bart » Tue Oct 21, 2025 4:40 am

Which of these players do you think is the best player, both in terms of what they offer now and the player they could possibly become.

I'm so intrigued with Shaedon, but he still doesn't seem assertive enough to fulfill his potential. Grimes seems like the surest in terms of providing skills and production winning teams look for. I'm still debating between these two.

Who you got?

Grimes can seriously D up when he wants to. Not getting the contract he wanted isn't going to change that. He can shoot too, the issue with him is staying healthy or he'd already be overpaid

Giddey averaged 21, 11, and 9 post all star break while shooting 66 TS% and the Bulls went 17-10.

I like Braun. Versatile 2 way guy.

I have Braun and Daniels as the most sure things. Giddey's got the highest upside if his late-season play can continue.

I think its Daniels. I find Braun very overrated, what can he really do beside playing decent defense, I think he is just on great fit like Bruce Brown was, put him on other team and he would be barely helpful.

Apples and oranges are hard to compare...
Totally different archetypes, the only guy here whonhas shown he is a starting level player on a contender is Christian Braun, but I'd argue he is also the least talented.
I don't think any of Giddey, CamT or Grimes can be starters on a contender.
Daniels needs to shoot to be able to be a starter on a contender.
Sharpe and Kuminga have great atheletecism but haven't utilized it fully yet.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Context matters a lot here.

Chicago would get worse if they swapped Giddey for Braun. Denver would also get worse if they swapped Braun for Giddey. Same with Atlanta vis-a-vis Daniels vs. Giddey.

If I'm starting a new team, I want Giddey because he's the best offensive engine out of the bunch. But a winning team will generally be much better off adding a two-way guy like Braun or a defensive ace like Daniels.

I like Braun best even if he doesn't necessarily have the highest ceiling.

IMHO, it's pretty clear Dyson and Braun are ahead of the rest.

I'd probably rank em
1. Dyson
2. Braun
3. Kiddey
4. Grimes
The rest.

I'd be willing to swap Kiddey and Grimes, but it'll be interesting to see who people value more - Kuminga vs Sharpe. I'd lean Sharpe at the point in their careers.

I know it’s only 1 game, but I thought it would be fun to compare the statlines of the 2 players who got the most votes:

Giddey: 19, 11, and 5, 57.1 TS%, +6
Daniels: 4, 2, and 3, 50 TS%, -3

None of these guys are franchise cornerstones so give me Dyson Daniels. Any team could use a near DPOY talent.

Dyson got himself into early foul trouble. Big win for Giddey and the Bulls.

Giddey tonight: 32, 10, and 9, 70.6 TS%. The Bulls are 5-0. Giddey is just on another level than the rest of these guys.
