Words cannot describe how great this ride has been this year. With this team I’m fully expecting them to compete their asses off and have this go 7 cause f it why not. Love the prove it attitude from everyone. Call Kirk fat at end of the year getting thrown out on a single, Kirk carried us. Vladdy not worth the money/doesnt show up, Vladdy born ready. Hoffman is coughman, lights out in playoffs. Springer too old should be bought out, MVP of the team over the season. Heck even IKF should be benched, hits the cover off the ball. This team has everything it needs to be a team of destiny, we need one more. Can’t beat the dodgers probably will get swept, lets beat the dodgers.

Quite a few in the media are calling what Seattle manager Dan Wilson did, almost the same as what Schneider did in game 5.
Putting in a tired overused Bazardo who Springer faced the night before while we led 5-0,and Seattle couldn,t win that game, and not using Munoz in game 7 who Springer had never faced, and was their best reliever.

I wouldn’t be throwing a middle in fastball to one of the best postseason HR hitters of all time either with a base open, no

Glad they did.

Dan Wilson is going to be wondering all offseason why he didn’t either leave Woo in to face Springer, or go to Muñoz.

Then again, if the Mariners had won we would be suggesting that Schneider is going to be wondering all season why he went to Brandon Little in Game 5 just to give Seattle hitters a different look. Every manager, even the very best will have something to be criticized for, but in the end, they have squeezed a lot out of what they have to work with. I'd say the difference in this series was the bottom third of the Jays batting order was a whole lot better than the bottom third of Seattle's batting order.

Hoffman threw 6 balls
Mariner could easily had man on 1st and Big Dumper hitting at the plate
Julio took a bad swing at that Hoffman 3-2 offering that way off the plate to lose it

Dodgers hitters have more plate discipline
Remember that game Jays vs Dodgers this season when Hoffman was brought in to end the game and he walked the batters he faced and Fluharty had to come for Hoffman get Ohtani and Betts out to mop up ?
Dont get me wrong lovin Hoffman, better than Tim Mayza, but Dodger hitters are going to be tougher

Hoffman was rusty for that LA series.Hadn,t been used in days.Schneider then started using him too often to try to offset that LA appearance, and ended up burning him out.He should be better this time, and LA hitters ended up swinging at some bad Fluharty pitches, and we won the last game.Maybe Fluharty should be used against LA before Hoff.

Putting Bo at second base in the world series is insanity.
If you need to put Bo in the lineup, its Springer in the OF .. its a no brainer. Springer despite being banged up would have much more mobility.

That remains to be seen, but it is probably the best option.2nd is an easier position than SS for Bo.Just wish they had put him there to start, especially after his throwing errors, and Springer has been on fire because he doesn,t have to worry about playing in the field anymore, and dont wanna mess with that right now,but not much choice.
Beat LA

I'd also rather lose IKF's bat than Barger or Lukes's bats.

Ultimately though, it all comes down to ability. If Bo is able to play in the field then obviously that's a better situation. But if he can't, then he can't and you need to figure out a plan B. And nobody posting here has any idea if he's able to or not.

If Springer is in LF, and Bo at DH, than IKF is the guy that is out. You are not losing Barger or Lukes . Barger goes to 3b and clement to 2b.

One of the dumbest decisions by this F.O. was not putting Bo at 2nd in the first place, and making him what would have been a decent 2nd baseman by now,and it would not have been so hard for him to have returned to that position now, rather than SS.Hope we get lucky.
Barger/Lukes will stay in their slots, wherever they put em.The Jays have to start putting the most reliable contact or power hitters higher in the lineup now.Varsho has proven most comfortable at the 6 slot,so they have to figure how to line-up the rest of the order accordingly vs LA,who has more pitching depth.Bo,s bat could be huge,so Springer Lukes Vlad Bo then they can use Clement at 5.Hopefully the F.O. sees this as the best top 5 with the best chance to score more runs.

There are at LEAST 5 players better than Vladi defensively on his own team. It's like SGA with the 2025 Thunder, great defender, still nowhere close to the best of the best and 5 players on his own team better defensively.

He has an argument for the best in the world in the postseason, yes. I don't think he has it yet.

And I'm a Blue Jays fan arguing against Vladi, I don't like it, so I'll stop here.

what are we talking about here? its the combination of everything. stop being a nitpicker and isolating them to their own merits.

I'm not nitpicking. Vladi is elite defender, not even top 5 on his own team.

I wonder if those former players are actual legit fans of the jays. Like is donaldson going crazy when george hits the homer? Also, I wonder how they feel as former players who couldn't quite get it done while they were here.
