MJ hasn’t talked this much on camera since the turn of the century. Certainly never did in Charlotte.

Would be hard to judge from one game right at the start of the season regardless, so it's okay

And also, Reed Shepherd can probably get traded after this game. Good thing he could shoot a little bit, he has no awareness on both sides of the court

yeah if it was just his defense that would be one thing, but he's also a complete black hole on offense. moves the ball even less than KD

There’s this one possession he dribbled the air out of the ball while KD & Sengun are on his side, then when he had nowhere to go, he decides to pass to Sengun with his back to the basket at the 3 point line with 4 seconds left to shoot. If I was Udoka, he should be done for the night right there.

I know the exact play you're referring to. KD stood there to Shepps right with his hands stomach level to accept a pass, then finally realized he wasn't getting the ball back and put his hands down.

Jordan claiming that he wants to talk basketball because he loves it and not because of that fat paycheck NBC offered.

The fact that NBC got Jordan as a special contributor is wild. They should broadcast every NBA Finals for the rest of time.

Just continues to prove depth so important. This Mitchell player is saving OKC in this game.

Oh for sure, it would just be a lot more fun to see these teams at full strength (including FVV)

ESPN was doing the bare minimum

Probably both, I don't imagine he is in "need" of any money

I assume you are international since this game is not on nba lp in US. Can you link your account with prime video? I don’t know if this is available internationally

Do you think he needs the fat check? He isnt part of Charlotte anymore so this is his way back into the league in a chilled way.

I swear I thought Rockets are being 20 points at the half just by reading through the comments here. Gods you guys are just nitpicking at every Rockets players. Senguin being a turnover machine? Hello SGA is the one with 3 turnovers. Meanwhile 2 of OKC starters still have 0 point at the half.

So it’s just game 1 but the answer to how the Rockets were going to play without a real point looks as underwhelming as we suspected. They have no real breakdown guys so it’s a lot of station basketball with the Rockets relying on 1 on 1 creation through Sengun or Durant. Or they let Thompson handle and basically use his size to create a shot in the midrange for himself. I guess the trade off in Udoka’s mind is that the defense will be so good that this offense will be good enough. I think of it as a brute force approach to basketball that won’t work against the teams with real talent.

Reed Shepard has skill but when they bring him in, the Thunder are going at him on defense with good success so that’s going to be copied. It’s going to take a lot of work to incorporate him. The Rockets are playing a lot of one on one basketball because that’s how they are constructed and that kind of basketball isn’t good enough in this let it fly NBA.

I mean, the guy is already a billionaire and just gets richer from Jordan Brand all the time. I’m sure the NBC check is nice but I bet he’s only there because he genuinely wants to be.
