I'm a huge fan of the late covid start because summer time playoff basketball rocks but I don't see fans getting more excited for a mid-november start when it cold and snowy. No. I'm more about a shorter season starting on Xmas day (never happen). It's hard to hold casual fans attention for 6 months and then another 2 months of playoffs.

I think the only snow-ball's chance in hell the season shortens is if the NBA expands to Europe and the players only ok it by dropping down to 65 games.

I'm fine with it starting now. Once Brewers are out baseball is dead to me. NBA provides a nice distraction between NFL Sundays.
