I don't think LeBron makes this team a lot better. They need players that provide contrast to Doncic. Off ball dominance. Defense. Hustle plays. This team is rough right now.

If the warriors could play only the Lakers, they could trade kuminga and shield for giannis lol. They look unstoppable against that defense

Luka is gonna die if he is the only playmaker. He needs another driver like Brunson/Kyrie. Reaves is a good playmaker for a SG but he isn't an elite creator like those guys.

*But totally agreed. LeBron isn't making this team into anything special.

Reaves is just a guy. Nowhere near untouchable or 2nd/3rd option on a title contender

I told all your fellow Laker fans to temper your expectations with Ayton. He was an improvement over… literally nothing at the C spot… but he’s not a player that’s gonna take you to another level. Hes a warm body who 6 times out of 10 won’t actually hurt the team by being on the court.

Basically the poster child for empty stats

Yes and no. I've seen first hand Ayton be impactful. The problem with Ayton's game is, unless you play and structure the teams offense entirely around his skills, then he's absolutely an empty stats dude.

Unless he's the focal point of a teams offense, he will disengage from games for LLLOOONNNNNNGGGG stretches. JJ will 1000% be breaking clipboards this season because of Ayton specifically.

Not enough shooting. Luka needs to be surrounded by shooters, similar to Lebron. This Hachimura, Smart, Vanderbilt, Vincent stuff isn't going to cut it.

Imo, every team is going to look unstoppable against this lakers defense. Its legit horrible.

Its a roster issue more than a schematic issue.

I wouldn't say he accepts Hayes is better, but if Hayes is actually giving a ****, he will play him even if he isn't better than Ayton.

The real crime is that they won't be interesting and we will still get like 30 more nationally televised games.

Luka's heliocentric ball in Dallas was not fun to watch. Now run that with this Lakers' roster and prepare for some snoooooozers.

Lebron makes this team much better if he can still perform at an elite level. For **** sake our #2 is Austin Reaves.

He's also our defensive leader. Clear as **** day we've got nobody on that end speaking.

The offensive execution (shooting) is so bad that it's putting the Lakers in transition defense on repeat.
