YOUR Washington Bullets begin the 2025-2026 NBA season!!

And once again, the season starts off on the road. The young Bullets come in with a huge roster full of sophomores, a new rookie class, other experienced youngsters, and three millennials in their 30s who are the "uncs" in the room.

One of those older players, Khris Middleton, returns to Milwaukee where he will get a hero's welcome in front of the Bucks faithful. The former All-Star was pivotal to Milwaukee's championship in 2021. Their first in fifty years since the days of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, and Bucks/Bullets legend Bob Dandridge.

The Bullets season is another one for development and for retaining the 2026 lottery pick that remains protected from the John Wall-Russell Westbrook trade made in December 2020. It goes without saying that retaining that pick and making sure it is in the top 3 is absolutely critical. Additionally, the pick swap with Phoenix from the 2023 trade of Bradley Beal looms large especially if the Suns are also in the lottery!

On the other side, the Bucks have re-tooled around 2x league MVP Giannis. The Greek Freak still is at the top of his game and in his prime. Damian Lillard was waived and stretched in a stunning move which yielded big man Myles Turner in free agency. The roster features a number of shooters around Giannis. Jon Horst is also betting on a bunch of outcasts from around the league looking to prove themselves. If Giannis is staying in Milwaukee long-term, the Bucks will need to make a run in the postseason. They have been eliminated in the first round every season since the 2021 NBA Finals.

So, who will prevail on opening night?

Wiz by 30. Somehow we will lock in the number 9 draft pick tonight.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

If you mean as in lose by 30, I agree.

I was looking at the game thread opening post pictures. The lineups looked pretty even 1 through 3 until the 4 spot, Middleton vs. Antetokounmpo.

In my head, I can hear a Greek saying, "I got a little one."

Then there's 6'10" Kuzma and 6'11" Portis, who will each tee off against the middle school that cut them. Layup line drills tonight.

That will be a surprise, indeed.

It would blow my friend Kevin Broom's 15-win prediction out of the water like it's a Venezuelan fishing boat.

Confused. Our own pick is all/nothing ie top 8 or
belongs to NYK.

I had forgotten about the PHX pick swap. Assuming
we're in top 8 and PHX in lottery increases our chances
for a high pick.

Or am I missing something?

You are correct. If we get the 9th pick, it goes to NYK

The Phoenix swap could be huge.

Prediction: Giannis doesn't play much, Kuzma comes in and plays like Tracy McGrady, and some crazy people (Arenas?) start talking about how we probably shouldn't have given him up.

are there any non-went-to-the-playoffs-last-year opponents on the November schedule?

And if any of us are still confused, it's what pick we
end up with and not where we finish in the standings

This guy is kind of a goofball but I'm not crazy about
the Locked On Wizards team either.

He mentions Methstreams which I don't know anything
about. Anybody else have experience with them?

Then he goes on to talk about the official measurements
going into the new season.

Sarr is listed at 7-1 236
Will Riley 6-10!
Keyshawn grew as well listed now at 6-9
AJJ put on weight to 183.
None of this is particularly shocking. When you draft
young, it's a possible side benefit.

Abdullah on Locked On, the way he's so jazzed in
some of the vids reminds me of Golfy in an Epstein
vid. I know, totally unfair. He seems like a decent guy.

He is not listed in the injury report. I think he'll be in uniform.

Coulibaly is out.

Plausible.

Kuzma or Portis, both former Wizards, could have career rebound highs.
