We're all debating about Thibs, injuries, Dolan while Capn'o is on the sidelines doing a research thesis on Don Nelson

He went into self preservation mode. I saw sham setting that trap had instant dred and chose to ignore it. Cap went the other way and had to disprove it. I appreciate it and respect it.

It was honestly a great boogeyman. Fizdale is a silly one. Nelson was legit a good coach and actually ahead of his time with his tactics but a total failure of a hire.

That's not what I have issue with. That's fun for me but also relevant to consider the circumstances of our current coach. This nonsense re-litigation of how Thibs was fired is something that I should not be engaging in in this thread.

Gotcha, I dgaf about why or who fired thibs. Though it is fun to blame mikal. So ill continue with that regardless of veracity.

If towns is out too that means our 3 best rebounders aren’t playing tonight and we’re going to be really small. It might be crucial to be able to run one of their bigs off the floor.

20 and 10 from yabu?!

I feel like someone unexpected is going to have a good night. I can't see Yabu grabbing 10 bounds, though.

Winning games keeps much of the drama away, thats why it was so nice the last five years for me at least. Who knows what happens now

We made the ecf last year which was the best season in decades and it was still pretty rough.

Constant complaining about thibs, kat, mikal(justified), not playing 5 out, brunson being a "ballhog", ect, and the season ended in devastating fashion.

Though im sure this year we will be patient with mike brown and give him grace. And we will be calm with the high expectations of making the finals in a weak eastern conference. Should be roses around here all season.

That was mostly just the fans day to day complaints. There wasnt much media drama during the season I can remember except with the trouble we had beating the top 3 teams.

Now we already got Thibs drama, the absurd coaching search, mysterious injuries, mystery offense, Brogdon retiring... its crazy lol

Wowwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Kat folkksssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks

Knicks about to get that first loss out of the way as early as possible.

What's the "bigs" rotation? Huk, OG, Yabu? That sucks. Especially against 2 7 footers.

Knicks probably give up 30 offensive rebounds tonight.

Definitely the front office. That ish he pulled in Game 6 against Boston was rough to watch, but he was saying a clear message. That defiled logic and I'll go to my grave saying that's what broke the caramel's back to see if Thibs was tuned out or not.

I will also say Thibs of 23/24 was way better than Thibs of 24/25. Losing Bryant as the Thibs Whisper didn't help.

Would it shock you to believe it was more OG that was vocal about the offense than Mikal. I think we see it in preseason. OG has may more freedom in this system then he did in Thibs...he was a sit in the corner guy and OG thinks of himself way more than just a defensive 3/D defensive guy.

But I agree NY'ers mentality is already pretty toxic and self centered...thats not always a bad thing. But its that dog eat dog world east coast mentality. We respect fight and grit more than other places because of it.

Thats what we want to see out of our teams.

:o
Og is the coach killer?! He is a kindhearted brit and has a lil tism. I find it hard to believe he was leading the kill thibs campaign.

Bolded part is why I became such a huge fan of those 90s teams. Not the most talented but they were fearless and hard working. Its why some of us liked thibs he represented that mentality and also why some of us have a hard time with kat. But I digress.

This season is going to be fun with some lows and hopefully a lot more highs.

He wasn't leading it at all but remember Hart early last season talking about needing players to buy into rolls. OG didn't sign the big deal to be a sit in the corner guy. He wants an offensive roll. I can't blame him the Knicks invested a lot in him as a player and rightfully so without him we can't do the things we want to do especially defensively.

I don't think the players played a big role in terms of pulling the plug on thibs. There were disconnects early between the FO and him. It was just shocking that some of the key guys didn't put there foot down because of his relationship with him.

JB is the captain he has a lot of influence in that building...i think we all know. He appreciated Thibs very much I just think Thibs was expecting him to say I'm the captain and star of the team and Thibs is staying...but that never happened.

Thibs surreptitiously pissed off Dolan knowing it would get him fired so he could exit the team before the wheels fell off of all the players.

Mitch, Hart, KAT, all going to miss a lot of time.

Soon to follow, OG & Brunson, as Thibs wore their knee cartilage to the nub.

Thibs very crafty.
