SGA watches a lot of Bruce Lee.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Three)
OKC jumps up 6 in OT, but the Rockets tie it up. Double OT. Sengun having maybe the game of his career.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Three)
SGA beautifully guarded by Durant and Sengun on a double team gets a bail out foul call with 2.3 seconds to go down 1. Makes them both. Houston with a last chance. Durant fouled out on the play so he won't get the shot.

West will be packed as expected. OKC is still really good Houston as well. We have to start strong!

I am not happy with NBA league pass. No where was it stated that I had to have a TV "supplier" I just stream some Hulu and Prime. Why the H - E - double hockey sticks can't they just stream it at that price??

Unless they've changed it, I've always streamed it through the NBA app on my iPad and not through a streaming service or "supplier." My biggest complaint in doing that is Samsung doesn't have the NBA app in its app store, so I can't just pull it up on the TV without mirroring the iPad.

So I could stream it to my laptop then? That would be good. I was not happy otherwise. I'll give it try this evening. Thanks gandlogo!!

I don't need a TV supplier. Never did. I just go to NBA.Com click on the game I want to watch and click watch.

West is going to be a huge problem this season. Not crazy to think we could be in the play-in

A lot will depend on how we start the season.
Each of the last 3 years, there are a few teams that stay out of the "muck" of the West.
The muck...
2024-25: 7 teams separated by 4 games (2nd through 8th)
2023-24: 7 teams separated by 5 games (4th through 10th)
2022-23: 6 teams separated by 3 games (4th through 9th)
If we get sucked into the muck, we can get stuck in the play-in.
I feel like there is a clear roster difference in Oklahoma City, Denver, and yes Minnesota. I think a repeat of the 2023-24 chase is a very real possibility. Between talent, depth, likelihood of health, and other factors, I see these three Northwest teams winning over 55 games apiece while the 4th seed starts the muck at around 48-52 wins.

I think OKC and Denver will be better than us. I could see us having a similar record to last year though injures really change things. If healthy we are probably looking at about 53-56 wins. Hurt it will be less. Every season there are some major losses due to injury so that will also shape the west. Any major star goes down for two months and that team is probably out.
I also see one of the lower seeds last year making a big jump. Memphis, San Antonoio, or Portland could really have an amazing season and be the 3-6th seed.

That would be a MASSIVE jump for Portland and San Antonio. I can't really see that, unless the muck begins closer to 42-45 wins than 46-49 wins. At that point, anything would go and it might be a 9 or 10-team muck.

Edgecombe lighting it up. He might give Flagg competition for RotY.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Three)
From what I have been able to gather the prime video Wolves broadcasts aren't going to be simulcast locally on FanDuel so that's a bummer.
You shouldn't need 3 different services to get all the games when you live in the local market.

Knicks are going to be very good this year. I could see them winning the East.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Three)
If I heard this correctly Edgecombe broke LeBron's NBA record for most 1st quarter points in a rookie debut with 14 to LeBron's 12. He broke the 76ers record for most points in a rookie debut with 32 and counting. I wonder if his 5 made threes ranks highly for a rookie debut.
Answer: Nope. 4 players made 9 3s in their debuts. Last year Dalton Knecht did it, but didn't even get a minute in last nights game.

The sequence at 1:40 might be the most unbelievable thing I have ever watched. The entire highlight reel is jawdropping.

pretty crazy, and AD/Lively were on him a lot of the time
Dallas should be one of the better equipped teams to match up with him
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
