Still early in the season so I won't overreact to one game but it was nice to see Brown go deep into the bench and be a little more creative with lineups even though they were missing 2 rotational players. I was a bit envious of a team like OKC going 10/11 deep even when missing key players. I felt like it gave the players a reason to compete for each other knowing everyone would be given a fair chance.

Last year with Mitch and Hart out I think this may have been a 7-7.5 rotational players game but Thibs did play 9 rotational players in game 1 of the season including Dadiet but that was short-lived. We shall see how Brown handles the rotation going forward.

I'm wondering if this could have something to do with our assistant coaches working with him

This is why, in spite of him having some limitations, you DO NOT TRADE MCBRIDE

WAIT! Wasn't DM supposed to be the all-world PG when we were interested in him? :dontknow:

nah, he's a short SG. Garland runs their offense. They were not the same team as last season today missing their players

Kat and Brunson were both pretty bad. Winning a game despite that is great.

Both bridges and OG are good enough to interchange as the "second option". Team game.

Brunson at least still looked good with his passes, got to his spots, but missed shots.

KAT's out there invisible, passive, not really providing offensive gravity, and of course his defense sucks.

If you're going to be bad on defense, at least be a bad ass on offense. He's just "meh" on offense.
Checked the boxscore and was honestly shocked he had 19 points. Felt like too much.

Only thing that bothered me about him on offense was he passed up open 3s a few times.

I'm not a fan of his several weak forays to the basket every game

I am out of the country with limited internet and no streaming. I read tonight’s comments just before the game. Then I got an internet connection about 5 minutes after the game ended.

I ask in all sincerity, WTF was wrong with this board? Greenie, Melo, and others seemed to be having psychotic breakdowns before the game. There was no way in hell we could possibly win with Miklikina, Bad Brown, and worst player in the world KAT. Our season was ruined and we would have to fire the coach.

After the game I saw without Mitch and Hart we played our unbeatable nemesis and won.Cleveland? “The game was fun and enjoyable????”

Was everyone just too anxious about the new season to deal with their pregame jitters, or are you all a bunch of fukking sadists who only feel better if you try to make everyone else suffer even more than you do? JFC get a grip.

First game for a new scheme and new coach. Even a loss wouldn’t have meant we’re doomed, except to some posters on our board. Did Buzz really give up on the game and leave?

Great win, guys and Evie.

I'm interested in what the rotation would have looked like with Hart and Mitch healthy. I was a little surprised that Yabu and Clarkson didn't play more with them out even though i'm not too high on those signings. I wonder where Yabu and Clarkson are in Brown's hierarchy in comparison to Huk and Kolek at the moment.

Also didn't see any minutes from Diawara as some expected.

I thought he looked great for a guy who some said might never play again. His shot was garbage but he was moving really well.

Lonzo is 27 but you have to look at him like he's a savy vet who is 38, because his knees are about that old.

So, he can do crafty good sh*t, but has to be on the minutes restriction. Was a good pick up for them, wished the Knicks had him.

OG was the only one who played well offensively. Overall we shot poorly, Cavs shot well especially from 3 and we still won relatively comfortably. That's a great sign.

The bench contributed with 35pts in 66min, no thanks to Yabuselle. Thibs would never allow this much bench time. And not ironically the starters had the energy to close it out.
