I hope the guy who said the Hawks were going to steamroll the Raptor shows up in this post game thread. That poster exemplified the absolute lack of knowledge and arrogance of TWO. How insulting someone to make that post, they clearly have not watched this team, looked at this team or followed this team to any extent When will these clowns ever learn that banking is from the 1990s. Completely sickening.

Nice win. Tbh I don't really like Quickley's game.

Business Intelligence looked good

I know it's only one game, but holy crap that loked good. This team has so many weapons.

Best Raptors game I have watched since 2020.

Hawks just spent a lot of money too. Porzingis, Daniels etc. They put those guys around a flawed star in Trae too.

That's all I can think of...and we know how random that can be.

We played a great team game. No complaints.

No one was really disappointing to watch tonight. Again everyone played well and was efficient. It’s only one game though and I like I said things are gonna normalize and we’re really gonna see what the team is made of when they face elite teams. Need to see how they counter and how the roles eventually end up getting defined. I think the hawks were atrocious and made us a look a little better than we are. Again I think we should be top 6 in the east but tonight we looked like contenders and Idk if we’re that yet.

Agreed.

I have said that I could see us winning 48 games if health remains decent. And bu decent I mean Yak nit missing too many and Ingram missing 10-12 games...not 20+.

It was game 1, but fun to watch. That in itself was a great.

we were ranked by some as the worst situation in the league  because we paid our guys and have a high salary for a losing team (that's never even played together.)

I felt this one coming.

The whole salary thing gets way overplayed. It's a discussion more relevant to future seasons and has little relevance to this one.

Funnily enough, most podcasts have been way more positive lately after crapping on them early in the off-season. It is like they only recently looked at the roster and realized who’s on the team. I recently, it is mostly more of a ‘someone needs to win in the east and they might be the 8 seed’ type takes. Except for Sam Vecenie. He has had us top 6.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

They have good young players at least. They should just look to move Trae this year before he opts out, build around Jalen johnson, daniels, Risacher + NO 1st round pick.

Quickley is starting to worry me a little bit...not sure he was worth all that money but it's still early so we'll see.

Hawks desperately need to move away from Young. Not sure why they're hanging onto him for dear life.

He played fine. HIs shooting will normalize.

As long as he plays good d and hits his threes he fits the team perfectly. He doesn't have to be a true pg with a team that has BI, Scottie and RJ.

I actually liked what I saw from Quick. He looks stronger & is looking for contact more. Some of his passes these last 2 games were impressive as well.

The shooting was never a concern.

What is it about his game that people didn't like tonight?

Agree Trae sucks but they didn’t extend Trae or Porzingas. They are still setup very well with Daniel’s, Johnson and the Pels Bucks pick and flexibility if it doesn’t work.

Raps winning a game by dominating the paint is the spiritual equivalent of the Jays winning by putting the ball in play.

People didn't like the fact that there wasn't really anything not to like.

He missed his 3 pointers, most people can’t give much analysis past that.

But 13/8 in 28 minutes while going oh-for on 3’s is a prettt good night. On average on a 7 attempt he’s gonna bury 3 of those a hell of a lot more than 0.
