lollipops to Tristan and Wendell. Oh and Goga, too.

Overall a good team win by everyone, showing resilience after some shaky stretches.

What?? You want Tristan's lollipop?

Suggs - for his energy
Bane - for his deput
Franz - for keeping us in it with a bench unit.

Bench minus Tyus + Isaac : Trip to the Soda Fountain.

Suggs
Bane
Franz

Mittens for everyone committing to the fast pace.

They’ll be turnovers at first from playing faster, especially from P5 and whoever else that has a higher t/o rate, but once we get that under control ,watch out!

Bane
Suggs
TDS

Franz and Paolo gave us what is expected-leading scorers as the 2 best players but not sweater vest material for the top 2 players on the team. WCJ was awful for 3 quarters. He went into beast mode in the 4th but without the play of the rest of the team we're not even close enough for him to make an impact. I need to see him in beast mode way more.

Suggs was electrifying and makes those plays nobody else can. If it wasn't for the minutes he gets the vest.
Bane and TDS got the buckets when needed to keep it close. And the 3 ball!!!

Sweater Vest No. 1 Results

Vest - Jalen Suggs
Cummerbund - Franz Wagner
Mittens - Desmond Bane

Lollipop No. 1 - Wendell Carter Jr.
Lollipop No. 2 - Tristan da Silva

Scores tabulated by total votes and thread responses.

Kind of crazy that Paolo goes for 24-11 with solid defense and doesn’t even finish in the top 5 in voting.

When I see others' votes, I wonder if I was watching the same game.

Bane was the lead on offense an played very well. F-Wagner was the clear Robin to Bane's batman. And for mittens, it's Banchero for his double double and lunch-pail stat lines.

Lollipops for Carter, Black, da Silva, Suggs, and Bitadze.

Suggs winning this is a joke. He was a fouling machine and was barely involved in the game. He logged one 17 minutes and beyond a lone: really nice steal, what did he offer defensively, really????

Let's reflect on our voting. Orlando's ace goes for a 20/10 double-double and is NOT a top-5 player in this game. Really?
Anyone who thinks da Silva had a better game than Banchero really should not be posting.

There’s more to positively (or negatively) impacting a game than just pure counting stats.

Franz was great on both sides of the ball.

Suggs energy warped the entire team.

Bane had a great offensive performance.

We can all have different levels of importance we assign to that.

Expectations for Paolo is probably like 30 points per game so when you see less than that you think yeah he was just ok.

Its about timing and making the right plays at the right time.

If you are reading box scores you would have this takeaway.

Paolo wasnt good in this game. He was average relative to what he is tasked with doing on a nightly basis. He had timely terrible lapses.
Da Silva hit HUGE shots that kept Orlando afloat in a relatively low amount of minutes.
Carter was BAD the entire game until it mattered and he stepped up.
Suggs was bad early and was literally a top 10 player in the league on Wednesday night based on minutes played and led the team in net points. So yeah... he deserves the vest if you actually know what you are talking about.

It's actually the complete opposite of how you are viewing the vest thing.
There is context involved as opposed to looking at a box score and sorting it by points.

It's why I gave Bane some points. I didn't know what to expect for a first game. When I looked at the total, I gave him the nod where I did. Next time, this might be Paolo. I admit I slept on that 11 rebound stat. But if he goes 20/10 and brings his ast up to his career averages all while being +net consistency. I might have no choice but to homer often.

Vest points are about to get really spicy here I think. As one thing I really enjoyed last game when watching the highlights was the spacing. This will translate to better shots for everyone. And when we had to grind, our instinct kicked in and we managed to stay ahead.

????

I watched the game and Suggs was a foul machine that was on the court less than what a back=up should play.

Box-score??? Nope. I think Suggs was very far fro a vest winner based on what I watched.

Da Silva hit HUGE shots that kept Orlando afloat in a relatively low amount of minutes.
Carter was BAD the entire game until it mattered and he stepped up.

I agree that none of these three are top-2 players. Bane and F-Wagner were the best players. That is my opinion.

I don't mean this to sound like an attack or anything bad, but I feel like you're usually the person in vest threads with VASTLY different opinions on who the winners are. Maybe you look for different things, but most people voted because of the eye-test and thought Suggs was our most impactful player per minute in the game.

He was in foul trouble in the beginning, but still played after those fouls. He played less minutes because of his injury that he's coming off of.

Not to mention past the eye-test, that ESPN Analytics page that I linked had him as the fourth most impactful player of the NIGHT, not even of the game. Like there were 10+ games with a bunch of 30-40+ scorers and he had that much impact in a short amount of time.
