the leap he would have to make to get in max discussion... chasm

I mean I was half joking, but there is a chance he can actually make the all-star team this year with the injuries in the East. If he can be our 2nd best player and we are in the playoffs race it's not unrealistic we can get 2 all-stars this year.

Saying that given his injury history and the way we use him on offense I'm not expecting that to happen.

I think he gets close to the max, but not the full max.

I'd guess Miller has less than a 1% chance of making the All Star game this year. I'll breakdown my reasoning why:
- The league pretty clearly Showed us last year they aren't going to let a Hornets player in the All Star game without us being squarely in playoff contention come late January.
- The chances of the Hornets being in playoff contention in late January is not great
- If the Hornets are in playoff contention it probably indicates that melo has been healthy and playing well.
- The league is never going to send two Hornets to the All Star game unless we're on pace for 60 wins which is not happening.
- therefore if any Hornet gets sent to the All Star game it will be melo (who got snubbed last year - important)
- Miller is most definitely not getting voted to the starting lineup so he would have to be picked as a reserve
- Deserving players almost always get snubbed once before they are rewarded with an All Star birth. Miller hasn't been snubbed yet.

In order for Miller to get the All Star nod, I think the following things would need to occur:
- Melo gets hurt early in the season
- Despite his injury the Hornets are still squarely In a playoff spot
- Miller is playing out of his mind and is the clear best player on the Hornets, thinking 25ppg on solid %s
- and he doesnt get snubbed

odds = less than 1%

I think I would but I’m biased

Nope not with this current roster.

We need Miller's scoring more than a elite defender. Now if Kon surprises and proves to be a consistent offensive player then I would revisit this down the line.

But right now I rather have Miller.

Yeah you’re right, Miller is definitely the better player

I was ultra high on Edgecombe in this past draft. We weren't lucky enough to get him. But whoa his 1st game is quite the 1st impression!

He looks like a Superstar, and has played like one since being drafted. Definitely hurts, but it is what it is.

Completely dominating Jaylen Brown tonight

I was high on Edgecombe too.

This one game sample completely guarantees he will be the next DWade. I can't believe we didn't trade up for him.

Sixers weren’t going to let that pick go unless they could’ve magically traded up for Flagg.

VJ would've been there at #4 if Bailey had normal sane representation like most people.

Not sure what's more surprising, the Raptors crushing ATL or Utah crushing LAC. Weird night.

Dallas playing Flagg at PG is so dumb. They gonna waste his talent playing him out of position.

I really hate their lineup. I think they should maybe trade one of Gafford/Lively for a true PG and roll with a lineup of PG?/Klay/Cooper/PJ/Davis.

First week of the season is basically chaos.

I will say though that I think the overall talent level of the league is so high that even the bad teams can be dangerous at times.

Should be a day of celebration for us after a good opening game and our core pieces playing well, but seeing guys we barely missed out on in Wemby and VJ ball the hell out just makes me bitter again.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

The NBA is woefully corrupt, a little surprised a current HC was gambling though.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
