the past couple of years, some people were really eager to put wemby in top 10-20 player in the league conversations he did not belong in at that point in his career
he uh...he belongs now
he uh...he belongs now

I'm so so so happy Zach Lavine isn't on this team anymore.
Effortless scoring for the first 3 quarters, fumbling around with the ball and bricks when the defense gets tight, stupid ass foul, L for the team. Rinse and repeat

He’s a cheat code.
Let’s see if he stays healthy.

It's unbelievable that he never developed past that, we tried for years and waited... And it never got better...

Forget top 10.
He's a lock for top 5 easily.

Just watched Wemby highlights from today. Oooohhhh boy, he was making dribble moves and getting to rim with ease. Between legs dribble moves, behind the back, step backs, in and out, up and under moves at that hight 7'5 and so fluid, idk how u stop that.
Only good thing is Spurs team is still weak, idk why they wasted some capital on fox trade, all they need is another perimeter star and u have Lakers 2000's three-peat part 2 if they stay healthy. Dude is motivated and put in work

As someone put it brilliantly, he's the only player in history that would still be a rotation level player if he was 18 inches shorter. The amount of skill he possesses as a big man is mind-boggling.

I ain't calling Wemby the GOAT at this stage (of course), and definitely not so on a Bulls board. But let's say this ... that game last night was what a GOAT looks like. Just damn.

That showing was beyond any measure. I couldn't find it anywhere in my system.

Man, what’s up with every superstar playing out their minds the last 2 nights? Wemby, Luka, Giannis… Curry, Jimmy, Zion, Morant… Sengun, Edwards… Shai had a slow start but still came around to a measly 35/5/5/2/2.
Everyone’s dropping 40 and packing the other stats.
But Wemby especially. Good lord- he made Davis, Flagg and Lively look like kids.

A related item is the power of vets. To my knowledge, Wemby was the only player on a rookie contract to pull one of those rabbits out of a hat. And of course he really, truly is a unicorn. (Literally. I can see the horn.)

Last year in 46 games he averaged 24/11/4/4 and was running away with DPOY. He was a top 10-20 player in the NBA last year.

Wow I cant say I am totally surprised these guys are getting booked for illegal gambling. But its still a big eye opener.
Again, it's still alleged but I always thought this was going to be inevitable. All pro sports are now in bed with gambling media.
Its sad and its a black eye to the league but the leagues are in too deep.

What we can say though, and what we've been able to say since before he was drafted, is that's he's the single greatest basketball prospect of all time. You could make a defensible argument that he's on the Mt. Rushmore of athletic prospects in all mainstream sports. He's a complete freak of nature seemingly genetically designed to play this game, like Michael Phelps in swimming.
If tonight's game was an indicator that he's going to attack the basket more this year, and stays healthy, the discussion for best player in the NBA is already over. No one can impact the entirety of the game like he can.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

We may learn more, but based on the press event today, it doesn't really look linked to the sort of "gambling media"/official integration stuff.
They lured poker players who liked the idea of playing with former NBA stars to get in on games, but unbeknownst to those "fish," the other non-NBA players at the table were conspiring with the NBA guys to fix the game and take the fishes' money.
