You guys had a good run, had lots of things to say, and gave great energy to the board. Thanks for all your work, and it's kind of sad to say goodbye.

In retrospect, they DID end up with a handful of lottery picks! They just chose to shave a few years, while eliminating both the chances of a lucky #1 lotto slot and drafting some duds. Among starters:

BI - 2nd
RJ - 3rd
Scottie - 4th
Yak - 9th

Bench: CMB (9th), Gradey (13th), Ochai (14th - forgot he snuck in there)

Not bad not bad

Only took firing Masai, Nurse, getting rid of Siakam, OG and FVV to get here but momma we made it.

Now we just need to trade JaKobe for Ayton and trade IQ + picks for Darius Garland.

Then we got 1 thru 5, and a rotation of lottery picks:

Ayton - 1st
Ingram - 2nd

Garland - 5th

Dick - 13th
Ochai - 14th

That's actually a pretty sick lineup

I was never fully against tanking, just that tanking was never the ONLY option.

Hopefully this isn't a jinx thread and we'll watch some competitive basketball this season.

This thread doesn't make much sense. Are there people who just want to tank no matter what, and this is to them? I don't feel I know who they are.

If we didn't change the team up via trades and strategic tanking, we would still have Pascal/Fred/OG, and we would have picked in the late teens at best the last 3 years. No CMB, Gradey or Jakobe. No Ingram, RJ, or IQ.

Title of the thread should be "Yay we look like a legit playoff team for the first time since the bubble". I think most would be happy TWO isn't even a thought atm.
