Tre J looked good. Has a sweet shot and is a better rebounder then advertised

It was in the context of a team wide meltdown but Flagg looked awful tonight

Flagg spent entire life being THE guy on the court, and his first NBA game was against Victor who put 40/15 and clowned these entire guys. What a welcome to the NBA moment that must be, guy must have realized he is just a pawn in grand scheme of things.

I love Harper, but Jeremiah Fears might lowkey be the best PG in this draft

Fears is not a PG. maybe he is by designation but he’s a score first combo guard.

Run of the mill high volume shot taker

Clayton, Jr. looked real solid for Utah last night in just 18 minutes of action. I still think he can play PG at this level and will be starting by end of year. He’s just too good a basketball player to not be a success.

Edgecomb is so polished
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

What are they screaming?

Positive
Looked solid at all the little things, got out of the way when having an off game

Negative
Couldn't do the main thing we were hoping for (get buckets)

Caveats
Coming back from illness, limited minutes
I bought a boat.

It should upset you more knowing that they 100% will screw him up one way or another.

Demin is very much a project who will need 2-3 years to physically mature and to put everything together, but in Game 1 the flashes were clearly there. He's going to be a fun one to watch develop, and when he finally does put it all together there will be a lot of people caught by surprise...

Finally he got some open shots, boy does his jump shot look beautiful. I just wish they would give him more usage on the ball so he can develop further, but it's the Wizards so yeah..

MMyhre wrote:The coach about why Bailey left "and did not return due to tendinitis in both knees, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.", well that does NOT sound good. Already in both knees?

Flagg and Bailey both down, Johnson and Harper up... it's going to swing this season, promising signs for a fun race. Maybe Edgecombe will be the one to perform the best when the season actually starts?

Kalkbrenner is going to start at center as well...

Called it!
What a rookie class! Even with the "big" names failing, there were SEVEN good games in just the 2nd round! It might be an all time rookie race here, it's so unpredictable.

Give them time. The Sixers medical + training + developmental staff is by far one of the worst in the league. They just have such an incredibly bad culture...

In terms of development and culture? 100%. Virtually every player who's come to the Nets since Sean Marks took over has been extremely complimentary of the way they treat their players. Even the ones who left on bad terms because of their contract situations have had nothing negative to say about the facilities, training and medical staff.

When you look at how badly / poorly the Sixers managed Simmons, Fultz and Embiid it's not just frustrating it's sad. They really ruined these players' shot at realizing their full potential and being true greats.
