The old Sims had 0 basketball skills and but had hops. Jamison has no hops, but he is at least somewhat of a basketball player. So the opposite of Sims.

Yeah, I was going to respond this way. He's not a huge athletic talent but he's a steady player who knows how to play the game. Can eat minutes in a pinch without harming anything.

It looks like the bench will be used situationally based on the team we are playing. Yabu was not the right matchup for Allen and Mobley. There will be games where his strength and spacing will be utilized better.

The upside of expanding the rotation is Mike Brown will probably end up establishing some trade value for some of our younger cheap guys.

Could really push us over the finish line next offseason in Giannis trade talks.

I feel like we need a knock down sniper to demoralize teams. Deuce and OG was hitting but I want a guy known for knocking it down. Especially with Kolek creating offense.

Huk is physically weaker than Mitch, and you see that show up on the boards a bit, but he's a much better passer and can do things in the short roll Mitch simply can't.

It's good to have a change of pace 5 like that.

Right. I don't think people here understand just how strong Mitch is. Both will be useful players for us.

My thoughts are:

Mitch will start once he is healthy. He will not finish the game due to his FT problems and will only be there for spot situations.

End game lineup should be Brunson, KAT, OG, Mikal... depending on opposing lineup Hart or McBride

Can we play 11 every game? Not sure but its hard to enough good players on the bench not contributing. If Mitch and Hart comes back, who sits down? Jemison and ______?

Mitch ABSOLUTELY will start but to load manage you dont need him more than 25 minutes a game with Huk looking more developed in his 2nd year.

Thunder won because they were able to mix and match like 15 guys (throughout the year) and mutliple combos out there in a system that all the players understood and were able to thrive in.

This team can have 11-12 top players who see minutes and then 3 or 4 more when injuries come can be called upon like Diawara (lot of defensive tools on this kid), Evbuomwan (sneaky good bench player), McCullar.

Mitch, Huk and Jamison are decent in different ways and are 18 available fouls after KAT picks up his 5th every night.

Jalen Brunson will always execute what the coach wants to the best of his ability. That's why ascribing his play style to personal selfishness was always silly. Thibs wanted him to isolate to reduce turnovers (and because he's one of the best ISO scorers on Earth).

Brown wants something different, so Jalen will do something different.

I loved all offseason how the local media was trying to throw shade on Brown's pace and space philosophy, like:

"Oh Brunson is gonna have the ball in his hands less, he won't be effective"

And all of that got blown up in one night.

Yep. His iso ability will always be there and it'll still be needed, and seriously, as a fan, it's fun to watch. There have been lots of great moments this past year with that. It's just that we won't need to rely on it so much, and other dudes can step up and earn their paychecks too.
