We're still doing the whole "Trump is racist" thing?

I mean, I believe he is, but not sure what baring this has on this case.

This case started under Biden's FBI. Trump / Patel just inherited it and followed through on it. Don't see how this situation is political in any way.

Tactic being used to distract from the corruption Adam Silver has reigned down on the league.

I'm not even mad about this. I never liked Billups as a coach and was ticked off the Blazers gave him an extension this summer. However, now we can get us a new coach!!!

That description of co-conspirator 8 might as well read "and his name rhymes with Paunchy Dillups."

We get to try out Splitter. Finally, Blazers are part of the Popovich branch.

I never understood this. If he is found guilty just put the stuff on the plaque.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

He had to deal with wannabe gangsters, actual gangsters, hip hop culture from 90s, players beating coaches etc.

Silver turned product into casual spectators friendly , glorified friendly games, where due inflation of stats every team & fanbase is convinced that they have superstar(s) or future superstar(s).
Silver gave power to players without any tools to prevent abuse of power. That led to massive migration and superteams creation and he had to change cap rules to bribe players into staying with original teams, creating massive new problems for teams (supermax is toxic contract for team that uses it ).

Silver allowed player to create own player's agency & abuses all the CBA rules of tempering. That player for years has more power than Silver himself. We all know who he is.

Silver promised expansion but once again without any clear idea how. Current idea of expansion in Europe is type of league nobody in Europe wants. That thing without arab- oil-lords ain't happening. Good luck getting them to play by "rule book" of CBA.

Silver promised bigger revenue and indeed gave bigger revenue, but it is very clear that owners are fighting back and that's why Second Apron became a thing. To give sports excuse for owners to stop spending money on basketball team.
There are rumors that Celtics were sold because team simply was too expensive & not profitable under cap burden any more.

Silver still promises cap raise, but only revenue he can exploit is gambling money. I guess oil money is next. Once you combine sport that uses system of rewarding bad teams for being bad & already shady lottery and industry of gambling you are creating such a problem that he is simply too dumb to understand or too greedy to see.

NBA's holy Grail of integrity is salary cap , as he promotes parity. Yet, we kind a already know that teams abused it & found ways how to avoid cap.

I would personally argue that his idea of "parity" in current system is nothing but forced contenders cycling, as teams, even ones who do it "right way", still have no tools how to keep great roster for longer period of time due Second Apron restrictions & punishment.

btw Silver and NBA never "discover" anything. That's his modus operandi. Silver didn't discover or exposed Sterling being racist ( everybody knew) it was TMZ.
Silver didn't discover anything about Kawhi, Torre did. NBA in 2019 had investigation, despite Raptors & Lakers yelling , investigation didn't find anything wrong with Uncle Dennis asking parts of ownership of hockey team

Silver didn't discover anything about Rozier. Rather rushed in January to proclaim him freed from all charges. Until FBI dropped hammer.

Silver never finds anything, Silver always has same MO. Sweeping everything under a rug and pretending it didn't happen. Guy flat out lied to fans & media he never heared of Aspiration like 20 days ago.

The first super team was created in 2008 with the Celtics under Stern. Lebron went to Miami in 2010 and created the super team under Stern. But somehow, he didn't allow players to abuse the league but Silver did? Silver created the second apron to prevent this from happening. What did Stern do?

All your complains about Silver is conjecture. We haven't seen NBA Europe yet. I am not going to judge him on something that hasn't happened. The owners are fighting back against revenue? Are you even reading what you wrote? The NBA team valuations grew tremendously under Silver. What are you even talking about when it comes to spending revenue. The NBA is spending more because revenue is more. That is how revenue sharing works.

Everything else you said is just ranting about what he could have done in specific cases. Nothing about the game.

But we all know you hate the NBA. It is obvious. Every post you made is about how the NBA is failing, how nobody making money, and how NBA shouldn't be in China right?

Celtics weren't really superteam. Especially not in context of Heat or Warriors that will follow. Rather team of 3 aiging star players who were no longer good enough to carry teams on their own.
In season before joining Celtics, KG had 32-50 record with Wolves, Allen had 31-51 record with Supersonics and Pierce and his Celtics were at 24-58.
Also back in 2007-2008, people over 30 in nba were considered "old" because, they were for that period of time.
Again context of time matters. Before joining Celtics, Allen didn't play in playoffs for 3 yeras. Kevin Garnett was in even worst sitaution, he wasn't in playoffs since 2004. Pierce and Celtics, even on mediocre East failed to make playoffs for two years in a row before "superteam".

Adding even more context, In 2007 KG was only part of "big 3" that was actually considered top 10 player. equivalent of such "superteam" would be today's Cavs. Mitchell ( top 10 player) + 2 all stars ( Mobley + Garland ). Matter of fact current Cavs roster has more allstars than "superteam Celtics" had.

In context of age, Lebron left 61-21 team, at age of 26. Bosh left 40-42 Raptors. At age of also 26. To join Wade, who already won title as best player, and was clear cut top 5 player in moment team was created.

I already said that owners all agreed on Second Apron restrictions because it gives them basketball reasons to have control over total cost of basketball team. They run teams like firm, if there is no profit, they won't keep it. That's why 29/30 teams are now below second apron, at start of new season. That's why they "help " each other shed cap space when it's needed. 50% of luxury tax that owner pays ends up in pockets of other owners. Also every year at least several teams actually lose money.

Under Stern league signed first massive tv deal, in 2008, that ran through 2015.
Stern stepped down in 2014, in very same 2014, NBA signed TV deal worth 24 billion dollars over 9 years.

So league was already expending, under Stern. Silver took over in 2014.

Rest of your post is you replaying things i never said and argue against own claims. Nothing worth replaying.

Love all the parts where you "forgot " to adress, like Silver lying that he never heared of Aspiration or this part

“Terry Rozier, as of right now, has been cleared. He finished the season with Miami. There’s really nothing active, as of right now, with him. NBA spokesman Mike Bass did give a statement to me yesterday,” said Charania. “He said that the league is cooperating with the federal prosecutors.”

I guess nobody told feds that he was cleared by all mighty, saint Silver

Ok, so you agreed that the NBA grew under Stern and the league is expanding now right under Silver. Good. They both get credit.

Whether Silver lied about Aspiration has no relevance to the bigger picture. He is an executive in a major organization. Even if he did, I am sure he lied about things before Aspiration. You don't think Stern lied before? Or Goodell when he said he didn't know about the Ray Rice video?

Disagree. Lebron at least was self made, came from nothing. Not living on his daddy's name and money. If he's anyone, Trump is Bronny.

LeBron is involved in this though. The Damon Jones stuff. Of course, according to ESPN, LeBron "James was unaware that Jones, his former teammate and assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, was involved in gambling activity when Jones spent time around James and the Lakers during the 2022-23 season"

Sureeeeee. Always gotta protect their golden boy.

34 people arrested. They’ve probably only scraped the surface of this insidious plot.
