They don’t know what we’ll do, either. So it’s harder for them to plan on countering it.

Have they finally come out and said Mitch is injured or are they still saying it is load management?

My hot take that is that jemison looked better in his limited minutes than sims ever did.

Sims could have been a GOAT volleyball player, but it pays more to be a basketball player

He's in the Amir Johnson mold. A guy comfortable that he can be a role player big in the league and knows exactly what he can do even if it isn't a lot.

KAT should not even be playing if he legitimately has a Grade 2 Quad Strain

As soon as Mitch is good to go, I think KAT is gonna have to sit out until he can get healed up

I feel like KAT is only going to make it worse by continuing to play

I prefer the thread the needle pass to OG cutting down the lane

that was so smoooth. with the left hand aswell.

the cross pass into the corner was sick aswell tho. we rarely saw stuff like this last year and just further proves his passing ability and vision, these passes are dangerous and hard but they move the defense so well.

If he gets comfy with this offense and can crack the rotation we are gonna get some sweet sweet eye candy from him this year, i cant wait. i love passers like this, they legit see the play developing 1-2 seconds before everybody else

Yeah, he seems more comfy out there. More comfy = more confidence. It also looks to me like he put on a little weight and it is stronger this season. I didn't notice him getting bullied on the court. Really looking forward to the Celtics game tomorrow night.

I hope Green Arrow has something special planned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knowing where to stand on the court is just a really underrated skill for a big man. That’s how you could tell that Mitch and Hukporti were gonna be able to play. Jemison doesn’t have the natural gifts of those two, which is why he’ll stay a 4th big but he didn’t look out of place playing against one of the best front courts in the league. Sims was just always out of position causing problems.

I was at Stout last night. We Knicks fans are crazy! Lol. It felt like we won a playoff game hahaha. I also once met that meme guy randomly during last year's playoffs outside of MSG.

I loved all offseason how the local media was trying to throw shade on Brown's pace and space philosophy, like:

"Oh Brunson is gonna have the ball in his hands less, he won't be effective"

And all of that got blown up in one night.

What we saw last night was good basketball

Brown has been compared unfavorably by some to Fiz because one game he didn’t call any plays, but he’s really quite different. He doesn’t say a lot about why he’s doing something, but he gets them to execute. They really looked better than a bunch of people here predicted they would.

I just don't like how the knives in the media were out for Brown while they blatantly ignore the issues that impacted last year's campaign.

It's whatever now. The ball is moving, the guys look like they're having fun, and we need to develop cheap youth into rotation players. Now let's beat the Celtics.

A lot of that was OG stepping up and crashing the boards. Didn’t even know he was capable of that. Might have just been a one off. But he seems like he wants to step up in an area where we would miss Hart. towns is also a good defensive rebounder and got his 11.

OG had an insanely good night when you look at the way him impacted every facet of the game both sides of the floor. Thankfully he didn’t get hurt when he slipped and fell because that scared the crap out of me

How can anybody not love OG is beyond me

Yea he’s shown he can do this before when Mitch is out… vs Philly in the 2024 PO he had 14 boards too.

Funny thing is, you take away all 14 rebounds of his, and we still out rebounded the Cavs..

But they lost a lot of their other guys. KP. Horford. Luke Kornet breasted on us and he’s gone. Jrue gone. Our wings should make it tough for Brown but just gotta lock up on the perimeter they’re going to bomb 3s all game probably

In theory Browns defense should be a whole lot better than Thibs 'leave a guy wide open on the 3rd or 4th swing pass every time' defense.

This seems like a decent take. Fiz was when you were still a Nyets fan (iirc) and he was catastrophically bad as a head coach ... or any kind of coach. Not the "Thibs-lets-quibble-he-overplays-the-starters" bad, the idhafc how to coach any level of basketball bad.

Wild that somehow that’s the only gameplan that managed to beat them in the playoffs over the course of the past two seasons because they refused to make shots

Mills, Perry, and Fiz were an awful awful trio. Perry went back to the Kings where he somehow decided to rebuild the Chicago Bulls winning formula with Lavine and DeFrozan.

And somehow Isiah made his way to Phoenix where he effed up their whole team and their whole draft pick situation.

Now we just need the Lakers to hire Phil Jackson to eff things up and Utah to hire Layden and I think we're good to go.

Return to New York Knicks
