Historically, the sim is a year behind so it’s unlikely the sim will reflect Wemby’s perceived 2025-26 season ascension.

Buuuuttt, there has been some isolated cases where young NBA upcoming players have killed it during the first two weeks of the irl NBA season, and an updated version of the sim is released before our sim season starts, that reflects a bump in the players OVR rating.

So there’s an outside chance that could be the case with players like Wemby and/or Amen.

Um, he's a scumbag and not my boy?

But PDX is not exactly mourning that he'll be out as coach and replaced by Splitter. This could be a blessing in disguise for the team.

Ignoring the poker stuff, what did you not like about him as a coach? From the outside, it seemed like he was doing a solid job imo. Last year he turned Portland into a really good defensive team and I heard he’s an awesome mentor for the young players. They looked really good against Minny too. But maybe im missing something here, since I don’t live in Portland

I've barely watched them due to the LP blackouts and the Knicks being good. I'm just the messenger on the sentiment here. I was impressed with how they played us last year at Moda. I think he's a Thibs type.

For me, there are now a few personal strikes against him that I can't support.
