World series decorations in our ballpark. Seeing social media posts saying "Blue Jays - Dodgers World Series starts tomorrow!" just looks like a dream right now. Who would've thought in March we would see a thread title like this in October.

Continue soaking this all in and enjoy the moment to the fullest

Wow, starting the rookie in game 1? Guess Gausman wasn't rested enough. No pressure.

So happy they didn't do the sentimental thing and start Gausman, He's much better with more days rest.

Now, how to grind Snell out of the game in four innings. If any team can do it, it's these Jays.

Yea once Gausman came into Game 7 in the ALCS, I knew he wouldn't be starting game 1 of world series.

Some people like Greg Amsinger of MLB tv,and other fans etc wondered about the possibility of starting Bassit in game 2 with a quick hook, then starting Gausman in game 3 in LA.Bassit looked ferocious here in relief.Great addition to this team, standing up for the city, and the team after being criticized for not getting certain high profile players in the offseason.

I was having the same thoughts. Gausman and Bieber look fatigued so giving them extra rest would be very beneficial and Bassitt was sharp.

Maybe a Bassitt + Lauer outing?

Gausman has been great all playoffs, just go with what’s been working.

Yea no need to get too cute with the strategies. Gausman is your best. He'll have enough rest for game 2 (remember, he only threw like 25 pitches in game 7, which is similar to a side-session most starters do between starts anyway). Bassitt can wait in the wings as relief if needed.

It's just that if you were ever going to start Bassitt, it would be Game 2 at home. Otherwise, it's Yesavage, Gausman, Bieber and ? in Game 4. Not Bassitt on the road. Did Scherzer earn another start in LA, despite his >5 FIP against Seattle?

Bassit sounds like a good idea, but everyone already knows it will be Gausman. Its more of a "what if scenario" feelin fine after the ALCS success. At some point i expect Bassit to pitch in relief against them, and we know he will be ready for it,like he was in game 7.
