Maybe this is Minnesota's way of tanking.

Best WR tandem in the league. No shot you tank here. Honestly they should have signed Flacco

No there not. Lamb/Pickens & Chase/Higgins in class by themselves.

I get the Chargers are in prevent, but they were the last drive as well. Brosmer already getting to his check downs ridiculously faster than Wentz has all year.

See how much easier it is, to just check it down. Rather than hold onto the ball forever and taking hits for no reason

Dallas Turner tonight, 0 tackles. On the season has just 3 tackles for a loss.

Undrafted rookie free agent Tyler Batty, who made his NFL debut last Sunday (only 3 plays, did get a tackle). Had 2 tackles, both for a loss tonight.

So basically in just 1 game vs Turner all season (8 games)

Batty has 3 tackles, 2 for a loss.
Turner has 10 tackles, 3 for a loss.

Pull the cord on Turner already and try and trade him at the deadline. Dude plays with zero effort out there

But even with all of that, they decided to extend him this summer

Perhaps we can get you in a better mood and talk about the Bills instead. Who do they play this week?

Well since I’ve changed my little avatar on here to the Bills, they’re currently 0-2.

But should have an easy game against the Panthers Sunday
Panthers have a sneaky good defense.

The Vikings letting Darnold and Jones walk so they could roll with McCarthy and the corpse of Wentz is an all-time fumble. I would've let them walk as well, but let's not mention that. I'm not really in the loop with everything Vikings, but how did this happen? Was it money, was it thinking Darnold was a walking fluke, was it KOC thinking he could fix any QB?

It's pretty obvious by now that they fell in love with the idea of having a starting QB on a rookie deal. As soon as they made the investment (McCarthy), there really was no turning back.

Darnold wanted more than just a 1 year commitment to be a starter.

In hindsight, they should've kept Jones around by letting him compete for the job. Then they would've had a fallback option.

I think Vikings were just looking for a higher ceiling at quarterback and thought McCarthy would be that guy. They knew Darnold won't take them far in post season.

But Cowboys fans need to learn from Vikings. Yeah it might suck to have a QB who chokes under pressure and in playoff games but if you get rid of him you might end up with a QB that sucks in regular season too.

Just a sidebar here, i don't think Wentz ever figured into the equation. Vikings signed Wentz on August 24th; after all 3 preseason games were already over.

They offered Jones more than Indy did, but he thought he had a better shot to play in Indy. I don't think the Vikings could have resigned either Darnold or Jones without trading McCarthy or offering them substantially more than they received.

And for all this hand-wringing, we still don't have very much information on McCarthy yet.

Damn, Wentz actually was crying during the game. Maybe he realized he won't get any more chances to be a starter in the NFL.

Or maybe Egals trolls got to him and he didn't have the ignore feature. That can move grown men to tears, too.

It is showing itself to be gross incompetence, an Egotistical belief in oneself abilities, in allowing 2 QBs to be released. In a time when several teams are in a dire search for 1. And to top it all, those 2 teams are now 1st place teams

Better to have a QB who sucks in the regular season than one who isn't clutch in the playoffs IMO.

At least the former gets you a higher draft pick.
