Very unlikely but also great value.

Two good starts and a few big outs out of the pen in game 7 along with nobody having a standout series and there's no reason he couldn't win. I don't think you'd have to simulate this series 70 times before Trey was the MVP.

Is Trey the first player to ever start a World Series game, and maintain their rookie status going into the following year?

The day is here

Blue Jays back in the World Series

since Joe Carter’s 1993 game winning home run.

Surreal

Team of destiny.

I really doubt it. I have not checked but I assume Ben Casparius last year probably did it - https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/last-rookie-starting-pitcher-to-start-a-world-series-game
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Bichette, France in
Loperfido, Yariel out

With Bassitt and Scherzer now having roles the 12 man staff makes sense.
If the Bruihl experiment had worked against the Yanks he may have made it -- but clearly they had no faith in him, and don't blame them.

Little surprised by France .. I don wonder with a 14th player if we should have focused on speed alone. Some one like a Clase as a pinch runner, seems like they have more of a role than France.

It does concern me that they somehow find a role for Ty France over Davis Schneider in pinch hitting roles.

Yariel was definitely looking shaky for a while. I guess he pitched himself out of the circle of trust completely.

Nance was looking so good at the end of the season, especially compared to some of his shakier pen-mates. Guess not enough to earn the trust though.

Yariel was scrap. Bassit will be relied upon now. France over Loper debatable. Gotta be some numbers in there. Bo back which is huge

Choked massively in the ALDS and his stuff isn’t top tier as it is.

The Jays certainly love contact hitters and France does that better than most.

I'd put him in 2nd which allows you to keep everything the same. Ernie goes to 3rd. Gimenez keep rocking at SS. Barger / Lukes in outfield and most importantly big nuts Springer stays DH.

The more I think about it, you cant wait and let him come off the bench to start this series. He hasnt played in 2 months. You have to acclimate him as soon as possible now that hes on the roster.

I think there was a stretch we really overused Yariel and he was never the same after that this season. There was a while where I more confident in him than any other reliever in our pen.

Curious to see if they decide to make him a starter or long man next season, or keep him as a one inning guy.

I saw the videos of Bo running yesterday and to me, it doesn't look like he's fit to be second base. Especially if it comes to moving side to side and turning. Most likely he should be a DH and we would have to throw Springer in the field.

This is my childhood coming back to me man. I was there 32 years ago for our championship, and celebrating in downtown Toronto hugging strangers. What a party

I predicted either Joey or Yariel would be odd man out for Bo. Didn’t expect both would out and Ty back in. Not sure what Ty adds
