Does anyone have any intel on the Maxey, Edgecomb, Grimes, Walker and Barlowe lineup?
Its not a ideal but can get out in the open floor and hustle plays all over. Especially if there not a huge center playing on the opposing team.
With the way Embiid is currently moving hes a liability defensively and im not sure how you pull out close games down the stretch if hes a target defensively.

I hope this is a lesson for Morey. He is an A+ in drafting and F- in free agent signings. If we had a max contract SF/PF and center who could actually stay on the court, this would legit be a contender for a Finals appearance.

Max contract SF/PFs aren't really available in free agency. Players of that caliber usually only switch teams when they're past their prime and their current team isn't willing to give them a long term deal. The only max contract forwards I can think of that switched teams in free agency (other than PG) in the past 10 years are LeBron, Kawhi and KD, and the weren't coming to Philly.

Right. So you have to try and identify a big wing who has underperformed or been underutilized on their current team, but who could theoretically pop on your team.
Pretty sure this is the idea with Watford. I'd mention Walker and Barlow, but they both play more like undersized bigs.

rewatching the sixers v celtics game I noticed that VJ was wide open on a lot of 3PTA. I am guessing Boston's gameplan was the force him to make shots all game. It will be interesting to see how he responds to teams closing out harder and forcing him to put the ball on the floor. He still needs to tighten up his handle to be a true 3 level scorer so it will be a nice test for him when teams start to really scout his game

That's true he was open a lot, but he made some decisive choices to attack to score or pass. Is rather them guard him than leave him open to help the overall team... But loved that he took 13 attempts when they weren't guarding him from there.
Before he started going off... He just looked like a pro on both ends. Can't wait to see how the next few games play out

absolutely man. These last few draft picks have been so refreshing with their willingness to let it fly. We really hit the jackpot because he's so humble and likeable but also very confident with that foot on your neck instinct that you can't teach.
