I think that was the case the moment we traded for Bane and signed Paolo. With our apron situation, that 7mil salary he holds is a big deal. I did not expect Jett to be on this team after this year.

Unlikely to be picked because of next year's financial implications

Ideally, he shows enough to have some value at the TD (beyond his expiring)….I’d consider him worth a ‘tryout’ on a building team. Adding his $7m to another deal like Isaac or Goga (won’t say AB yet-at least out loud) presents a fairly large $$$ package- if the goal is to strengthen the roster as opposed to just trimming salary.

Only way Jett sees rotation minutes is by blowouts I presume. Same with Jase.

Jase will see significant rotation minutes next year. He will replace Tyus by next season.

In the ideal world yes. In reality? Jase might need 2-3 seasons. My thought would be that AB inherits Tyus position as the stop gap for the 2-3 seasons. In my humble opinion AB > Tyus in terms of impact off the bench. Well see how that plays out over the course of a season or if Tyus vs AB has enough minutes to happen. But at that point, yes, Jase will definitely be the next man up.

Im not the biggest AB fan, but cant argue he is more valuable then Tyus right now. AB at the PG is just not the answer. Weve had enough sample size to see that AB is not a PG and struggles there. AB at the 2 along Jase at PG might be a more balanced option. The moment Jase is not a complete defensive liability, hes going to get prime time minutes.

Said another way: Jones at the PG next to Black at the SG makes no sense at all.

They are just two different type of players. Anthony Black at the PG experiment needs to die. He doesn't create for others like a PG. He plays more like a 3D wing. He excels on this team when the ball-handling duties are given to someone else. That stretch with Franz, TDS, AB where franz was the one setting up was when we went on a run. AB just needs to defend, find his spots on the court, hit open shots and it can work here. Forcing him into this PG role is just not using him to his best abilities. Idk why tf mosley hasnt seen this yet.
