Im very disappointed at hearing the news about Chauncey. I remember rooting for him during 2004 finals against Lakers, mister big shot...

At age 25 Aaron Gordon average 12 points per game, and many viewed him simply as an athletic defender.
Last night he scored 50 points while hitting 10 3's

C'est la vie. Scammers are popping up everywhere. You don't want to start presuming everybody's in on it, but you might want to start preparing yourself for more of this stuff getting uncovered. I still think it was madness to push unregulated casino app betting and gambling with light oversight... I mean, stock market and crypto too. This stuff is all preposterous; the amount of shadow money flowing around in the last 20 years, in the age of internet cash flow, is beyond anyone's understanding. Shell companies were/are one thing, but thrown in with fintech and betting? Pretty sure our saving accounts all have shared digital paths with Putin, Hamas, Saudi Arabia's equity firms, the cartels, Trump, Epstein and whatever other dirty money launderers you can think of.
I'm just annoyed that while some individuals get punished rightfully, seems most "entities" can get away with anything (not to mention the criminals with political power… cough).
FWIW at the moment, Billups is tied to a mafia poker scheme, not sports betting. Not that it's any better, but for the sake of gray areas... IMO, cheating in his own league/job would be a worse offense.
(Ya know... hypothetically, if it came to light that MJ was gambling and cheating as an NBA player or owner, I'd be a lot more bummed than if he was caught cheating in poker or golf).

Very impressive single game anomaly after 11 years in the league. Nice high quality roll player on any team.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

MikeDC mentioned an ESPN article earlier that includes sports gambling allegations against Billups as well, just for some reason it hasn't been focused on and instead the talk is mostly about the (ridiculously high tech) gambling fraud.
But that report says that Billups told gamblers the Blazers were going to start tanking before the first game in which they held out 4 players on purpose hoping to lose. If that's true, even if its only once, his HOF credentials will be pulled and he'll be an NBA pariah until he's 6 feet under.

Corey Brewer did once score 50 points too I suppose
Gordon did shoot a career high 3p% and FT% just last year which led to a career high eFG% and TS%

Agreed.
Although to be fair, I and everybody else could’ve told the gamblers that the Blazers would be tanking the last three years.

Re: Around The NBA : 2025-26
Going to watch, observe plenty of games today. Maybe last 8-10 years, something like that, due to my work I followed world of bball just by checking results, boxscores, who said what and etc. Now, due to some certain "domestic and personal issues", I am back to my first love - sports. Euroleague games, NBA, NCAA and some more, NFL - hard core. NHL, well, Blackhawks done for awhile winning trophies, so, just a bit
Funny, living last ~30 years in Chicago, USA, my passion for European football somehow faded. Though still, World Cups are a beauty.
Will "analyze" Magic game, our next foe. No Wagner today. I don't remember how exactly Orlando fared last season, I was more into western Conference and some NCAA (mainly because Jakucionis and Co. were very good to start their campaign). Still, I remember, Magic games that I watched - they played pretty good. Long, athletic.

ESPN removed their sports gambling ad in the middle of the Rozier/Billups segment, lol (0:16).

It's so distasteful and hypocritical with all this we stand against illegal activities while simultaneously advertising the same source...
I'm only sort of joking, but how this is going and starting to perverse all walks of life, I was imagining them to put out the line on these guys, weather they be innocent or proven guilty Idiocracy style.( Rehabilitation)

Rockets lost today against the Piston. They're now 0-2. If they struggle to start the season do you think they'll go after a point guard at the deadline?
I ask because what about something like Tre Jones to the Rockets for something?

I'm not a fan of professional sports advertising gambling as much as they do. John Oliver did an episode of his show on sports gambling and in many ways it's a big scam. He used one example of a guy who won a big bet (for a lot of money) and then the company refused to pay him (they used some sort of excuse). He went after them and, due to the pressure, they eventually paid.
They also do whatever they can to get you addicted to using their app/site. If you decide to leave they'll come back to you with X amount of free gambling to try and entice you to stay.
Having said that, what Billups, Rozier and Jones allegedly did was more than simply gambling online. Reports are that they used "X-ray-equipped poker tables, rigged card shufflers, marked cards and the use of sensor-equipped contact lenses and glasses by colluding players at the table."
That means they spent time planning how to steal money from other people. It also say that mafia is involved.
Billups and Rozier both say they're innocent. I'm not sure what Jones has said (or if he said anything yet). I also have no idea what really happened and I don't trust the current DOJ (but that doesn't mean I'm defending the players...I'm not).

If the Rockets are still struggling in January/February they might consider trading for a guard.
Tre Jones doesn't really address their issues IMO. The Rockets need good outside shooting even more.

Re: Around The NBA : 2025-26
Have the Wizards found themselves a diamond in the rough?
Kyshawn George's first 2 games this year:
21pts, 9rbs, 4asts, 3/6 - 3pts, 2blks & 1stl
34pts, 11rbs, 4asts, 7/9 - 3pts, 3blks & 2stls
Last year he averaged 8.7ppg, 4.2rpg & 2.5apg whilst shooting 37/32/75.
I liked him last year as a late pick if the Bulls could get one, he'll probably come crashing back to earth soon, but just thought it was worth a mention.

Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy.

It's still early days, but if they continue to struggle I could see them perhaps making a trade earlier than Feb, I think closer to mid December.

No Suggs against the Bulls tomorrow. Hoping the Magic being on a B2B gives the Bulls a fighting chance.

I feel bad for Anthony Davis, the Mavs "no point guard" roster losing to the Wizards is something else. 23 assists on 21 TOs.

Is there any place to get quick storyline recaps of the nba games of the day? I don't like espn highlights they always emphasize the wrong things.
