Would you rather have Barger or Straw against Snell?
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

Clement can also play 1B.

Also, IIRC, France has played 2B and 3B before in his career (although he's primarily a 1B).

I suspect there's also a bit of wanting to have some versatility in a pinch. eg if Bo is DHing for game 2, but they want to PH for IKF in the later innings and still have somebody to play the field.

Barger often looks awful vs lefties.

I think they also want 2/3 of the outfield to be elite defensively.

Having Straw "behind" Bo defensively helps with mid hit pop ups.

3-1/2 hours from game time and there is one General Admission outfield district ticket available for $875.

Only one other pair in the 500s under $1000.

Where are you looking? I'm checking SeatGeek right now, and I see GA for $588, and a bunch of 500 level tickets in the $750 range.

Straw is a better hitter against LHP

And their defense, well…

Yeah I think France is all about them having to potentially pull Bo early with any kind of lead, gives them more flexibility for pinch hitting later in game

Crazy that we're essentially playing Straw over starting Lukes or Barger against a lefty.

Barger is horrific v LHP, they’re just doing the same thing they did against Rodon and Fried

Barger I agree. But I would've thrown Lukes in there over Straw.

Jays dont wanna risk Springers knee.To them that would be worse than risking Bo in an infield position.Kinda sucks because yesterday all you heard from Harold Reynolds,Plesac, and Amsinger was how great Bo looked at 2nd in his warmup, and it seemed believable lol.Hope the baseball gods protect Bo from any embarrasment of having to dive or move side to side very fast.
The reason Springer has hit so great this year is his not having to play in the field, and he uses his legs better at bat. They could easily move Bo to be a PH,if it doesnt go well early, without losing Springer as DH.Jays dont have much of a choice with putting Bo at 2nd if they wanna hit well, and him batting every game because of LA,s pitching dominance.Cant win the ws without Bo.Amazing what they have done without him so far.Win it for Bo  ,and with Bo  What the hell.

France makes a lot of sense to me. Much better pinch-hitting option than guys like IKF and Straw while the extra positional player gives them more flexibility if they need to lift Bichette late. They can do a lot of things (like tonight for example, they could eventually slide Schneider to 2B and put Barger or Lukes in the outfield if they happen to get an early lead which gets Bichette off his feet while still having France/IKF/one of Barger and Lukes/Heineman for pinch-hitting and/or defensive replacement options) and I think we're going to see Bassitt as a legitimate option out of the pen now which kind of eliminates the need for another arm like Yariel.

I just hope the move to put Bo at 2nd doesn't immediately backfire. I thought they would have had him DH the first game at least, but I guess they weighed his health vs. Springer's health and felt this made the most sense while giving the team their best chance to win.

These are generally groups of seats purchased by a single reseller. Every seat in the row of 10+ seats are priced exactly the same. That's not a coincidence, its the same owner for all.

Still the same.

Straw is the better choice against a dominant LHP when accounting for his elite defense

Snell kills LHBs

Bo is now the betting favourite to have the most hits in the series
