It was such a bizarre moment that I remember the moment precisely like it was a big event like an earthquake. I can remember the intersection I was driving on and heard it over the radio. There are very few off-court sports moments with that kind of impact.

Last game of the reg season against Portland and Kobe drilled 2 buzzer beaters, one to send it to overtime and another one for the win.

I watched Kobes 81 point game live with my parents and I'll cherish that memory forever. Had me standing up from the couch and slapping the table. Wild.

Kobe... To Shaq. The 17 point comeback in game 7 4th quarter against Portland. The Kobe lob to Shaq. I've never gone from "I can't believe the season is over" to "I can't believe we're going to win a championship" so quickly.

Horrys buzzer beater against Sacramento that Vlade Divac so generously tipped out to him at the 3 point line lol.

Lakers trades for Pau and Luka. I remember the exact moment and what I was doing.

Mine's simple, but it's the Bucks winning the championship. It still feels like a dream when I think about it.

The team didn't win a single playoff series until I was 12 years old, and then didn't win another until I was 30. Up 2-0 in the ECF and lose 4 in a row to Toronto...brutal. Next year sitting at 53-12 and Covid shut it all down for months. Never looked the same in the bubble.

The next year we play Miami again and sweep them. Go down 0-2 to Brooklyn, but still move on. Giannis looks to have a season-ending knee injury against Atlanta, but we still move on. Giannis miraculously comes back for game 1, but we go down 0-2 again... and then we win 4 straight to make it "Bucks in 6".

I can't emphasize enough how hopeless it felt as a Bucks fan for most of my life. Something bad ALWAYS happened, every time, so 2021 was like a curse being lifted. They really pulled off what felt impossible.

Everyone's gathered up in front of the TV at the lobby and screaming loudly. We just ignored it and proceed to finalize the purchase. We get home with the new car and found out that Kobe had scored 81 pts. The ONLY time I didn't watch a Laker game and it happened. lol

I remember I was there wastching the game with my Dad, and being from Toronto, Kobe was just torching us. I knew we could not stop him, so I just went to bed. Next morning I check the score and see 81. I thought Yahoo Sports made a typo and it wasn't real so I checked other sites and I just sat there in shock lol.

There was a moment before Lillard hit the shot against OKC where I turned to my wife and said "oh my God, he's about to do it again." And then he did.

Imagine if Billups was arrested mid game on Wednesday instead of the next morning. Would have been an all-timer.

I was at Skky Bar with a wedding party in OKC and Nick Collison happened to be there. He bought everyone in the club a round and though they call OKC Loud City, that club was the ultimate epitome of that. "Turnt up."

Easily finding out Luka was traded. I was having a great day with my family, in the middle of a competitive game of darts with my old man and my sister ran out and informed me. Needless to say I conceded that game of darts.

Hard to beat that. I honestly can not think of anything unreal like that, but I am not really an NBA fan. One of my most pleasant waking ups to real GM, was me waking up and seeing thread about my guy Jonas, titled, '''man on fire'' smth smth...'' it was about Jonas going 7/7 from three at a half vs the Bucks  I just didn't expect seeing that after waking up.

When Luka was traded, I did not even see it at first, RealGM is one of the first things I boot, and first thread that I saw was NBA players who surprisingly became journeymen, smth like that, and I started reading it, and guys just started mentioning Luka, to a point I replied with Homer Simpson ''I don't get it'' GIF, and then minute later I saw what really happened... So what do you guys think, was Nico paid up Jeanie?

What Is Your Most Unreal Moment As An NBA Fan?

I'd say it was when Stu Jackson came out during the 2007 playoffs and suspended Amar'e & Diaw - thereby effectively ending the playoffs 2 & 1/2 rounds before the champion was crowned - by emphasizing that while this may not fit with the spirit of the law, it did fit with the letter of the law, and that was what was important.

1. It was such a bad move from a perspective of giving fans the best basketball, and everyone knew it.

2. The entire phrase spirit vs letter of the law exists to emphasize that the spirit is always what actually matters, and he was going completely against that. There's never a time in history where someone who explicitly emphasized the letter over the spirit would not be looked at as a buffoon.

3. Literally every single time anything like this happened again, the NBA ignored the letter of the law, thereby demonstrating that future NBA leadership understood that their prior decision was ridiculous.

4. The NBA making this decision led to the Suns blowing up their pace & space model, which some of us at the time, and basically everyone in the NBA now, recognize as the superior strategy to what other NBA teams were doing before. By making the decision they did while pushing Suns ownership behind the scenes to abandon the "gimmick", the NBA delayed the evolution of the league for another 8 years, and could have delayed it far long than that.

5. This despite the fact that the pace & space model was literally part & parcel with the rule changes of 2001 that David Stern greenlit, revealing that Stern really didn't have a coherent basketball vision at all - which makes sense given the fact that he was just a bossy little lawyer man more concerned with not upsetting corporate types than he was with actually thinking through the game itself.

6. The league decided to do what they did in 2007 because they were more concerned with convincing wealthy Whites that they had the thugs under control in the wake of Malice at the Palace. Understandable business wise, but unbelievably frustrating as an actual basketball fan.

I was at the Bulls game last year where Giddey hit the halfcourt game winning buzzer beater.

Must have been fun. If Bulls lose that, they would have ended the season with 12th lottery odds, but instead, the 12th. odds went to Dallas...
