Oh gee, dumb me! By some slip of my fingertips I've put you on "Ignore," & now I just can't remember how to undo my mistake. How tragic! Looks like I'll have to miss the post in which you thank me for my praise.

None of this matters anymore!!! Is Deni an all-star this year? Sure. Who cares? We have KYSHAWN GEORGE! He is an all-galaxy!! If Deni were here he would just be KYSHAWN'S backup! It was a bad trade, but it was all in the service of KYSHAWN's ultimate ascendance to God-tier Wizard all-time-great.

Awww, just joshin'. I would never put u on ignore amigo.

As to quoting wisdom from tv show scripts, I prefer Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez. You know who he is, COSC -- or don't you?

Spoiler:
Martin Sheen -- i.e. his name at birth....

This is no fooling --

CntOutSmrtCrazy, please accept my apologies for getting into a pointless argument with you.

I'm being serious. We're both Wizards fans, with the same goal in mind, & there's no point in this kind of thing. Give me a break, ok?

As to Deni -- I wanted him in the '20 draft & was astounded & delighted that he fell to us. The last season and a half he's proven what an outstanding player he is!

There is no doubt that if Portland were to trade him now, they'd get more for him than they gave us to acquire him.

That fact alone suffices as a critique of the trade -- & it will hold even if the R1 pick coming to us down the road brings us the equivalent of Jimmy Butler.

Peace?

Meh. I don't agree with this sentiment. My thinking is "what if" we had both. I mean damn!

Then we could use a bunch of the other youngsters in a trade and boom!

If we had kept Deni last year, I think we could have worked out a trade with either San Antonio or Philly to land Harper or Edgecomb.

I really think it would have been SA. I think it would have been a straight up trade of Harper for Deni.

A core of Wemby, Castle, and Deni. :o :o

You obviously have Wemby who is a unicorn, but Castle can play 1-3, Deni 2-4, you could basically plug in any two decent starters and the squad is competing for 60 wins every season.

FTFY  They would be there from day one. Plus they would have plenty of cap space...

But more looking at what it would be for us. Having Harper, Bub and Tre would be a nice guard trio. We have so many forwards that that would take care of itself. And bigs are the easiest position to acquire talent.

I wonder whether SA would have gone for their '25 pick (which, given the trade, they would not have projected as likely to be as high at #2 -- & likely wouldn't have been) plus Castle...?
