Tre was fantastic. Pat was amazing. Ayo came on late. Jalen was great. Huerter was completely solid. The whole bench played well actually. 7 players in double figures.

Josh was ok he just didnt shoot well but had 21pts 8rebs 3asts.
Matas got hosed for fouls and really couldnt make an impact tonight.
Okoro was the master of nothing again tonight. 0-6

But we have the deepest bench in the league and as most predicted, the bench will win us a few games. Tonight was one of those games.

So Pat was amazing with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (+12)... but Huerter was just solid with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (+14)???

IKR? The bar is so low for Williams. But I get it. He played a very good game. I guess with his track record, in some ways, that is kind of amazing.

Pat shut down Banchero. Yes. Amazing game.

Huerter played well too.

He had 24 points 10 rebounds 2 blocks. How is that being shut down?

Ayo isn’t looking like an all-star (far from it with the dribble), but he’s looking like a really polished vet…he’d help any contender’s bench. Instant offense; pace-setting, do-it-all 3-position player. He’s been swinging every game in Chicago’s favor since pre-season.

Not advising to trade him, but just acknowledging he’s become a high-value rotation player.

All this while down 2 rotational pieces our depth is incredible . 17-4 our last 21 regular season contests.

You thought he was amazing? You didn't think he made a few bonehead plays? Sorry but I see what I saw and I get to have an opinion. If you have a different one, say so. Otherwise Pound sand.

Tre played amazing and he had some dumb turnovers too.

We obviously define the word amazing differently. That's ok. I wasnt trying to piss on anyone's parade. 2-0 baby!

I wouldn't say shut down, but he didn't look like a star, let alone superstar. I also feel like Paolo was getting his buckets on Okoro, who was just way too small to do anything. Pat made him look normal. He got physical with him and Paolo decided shooting a bunch of fade aways was a good idea.

Pat was very good against him.

At least they lost to good teams, we lost to an injured Hawks team, a very beatable Bulls team, and barely beat a Heat team (if Spo played Ware more at center we'd lost that one too).

It amazes me when people act like their team is OKC.

We beat another team that was suppose to beat us

Paolo had 24 points on 21 shots. He was ineffective for most of the game.

FWIW Paolo was shooting under 40% before this game.

Yep. I am pleasantly surprised. I thought they might win the home opener. Didn't expect tonight. Especially if someone had described the game Matas had before I knew the end result.

Hey, a road win is nice. To be fair, we played them without Suggs on the back end of a B2B. But these are the games that playing "fast" is supposed to get for us. That said, interestingly, they got 4 more shots than us. Our 3pt shooting wasn't great, but we shot 37% vs. them at 12%.

Giddey was aggressive attacking the paint. The shots at the rim weren't falling but he drew fouls and shot 4% from 3. Good to see him be confident.

Vuc wasn't aggressive, but he had an efficient game.

Jones proving me right with his Caruso-like impact on games with 5 steals, plus going 13/8/5 and getting to the line 8 times. Dude should be our 5th starter when Coby comes back, or at least, be getting 30mpg.

Smith's bounce-back game made me happy. Like Jones, I see something in his game and root for him.

Pat deserves kudos for his play tonight. It was needed with Matas being in foul trouble from the get go. I still cringe every time he dribbles, but for the most part it worked for him tonight. Good to see he can dunk again. His defense on Banchero was instrumental.

Huerter, Coby and Phillips all made meaningful contributions as well.

Pat might have the worst handle I’ve ever seen. As soon as he puts the ball in the floor you just know a TO is imminent.

Other than that he’s been solid.

Did you watch the game?

Banchero had one bucket on Pat.

Pat’s D on him emptied the shot clock several times as he passed away after not being able to do anything.

Yep. Think he will be going to the bench very soon though. He will also figure it out and get going but I think his ceiling is pretty low. He’s in his own head right now.

He's just that bad offensively. He needs to basically never shoot unless completely wide open. And even then...

That might have been Matas' worst game as a pro. And we might have the bench mob 2.0, especially when Coby and Collins return.

Whats going on??? Are we legit good this year?? Could be. Giddey is the real deal. Will take him on 4/100 all day. We got one of the best bench squads in the league - especially when Coby returns. The chemistry this team has is for real.
