Yeah it's frustrating, because when we run our chin action stuff we get a good look almost every time, we don't run it enough... Then you'll have someone bring up the ball and just try to spam pick and roll and try to make reads off that..... Like where is the horns stuff? Where are the floppys? No Ram actions? Detroit? Like why did we bring prunty in if we were going to mainly stick to the mose offense?Darth Magic wrote:KillMonger wrote:Early, still early but man I thought there would be more of a system in place...... This just seems like..... Just run and see what happens.... No structure.....no intention..... Just more of mose read and react BS with a bit more motion

Which is exactly what i've been complaining about since he said it again during training camp. The team has no rhythm offensively because they keep having to figure out the offense each time instead of running plays that they practice until it becomes second nature. It makes me SICK!
Yeah it's going to take more time than I thought, defense isn't right.... Offense isn't comfortable..... Conditioning isn't up to par..... Just not how you want to start

It's pretty obvious the team didn't have their legs, and I blame the coaches for that. The team hasn't been ready.PrimeThyme wrote:3/24 from 3 in the modern NBA is not going to help Moselys case for keeping his job.

Can we start with throwing a ton of cash on a good GM and letting him decide what to do with the coach situation?
How about we start with new ownership? When can that actually happen?... Never, right so nothing ever changes. Great

Javon Small pick 48 balling out for them too. Grizzlies always manage to find gems.
Seems like rookies as a whole are balling out to start the year though. Deep draft.

Like, where do we play him to maximize our offense when he's heavily involved? That's the issue.
He just has to be better. I think Paolo works too hard to not figure it out, but there will be massive amount of growing pains. Again, Giannis/Jokic didn't start figuring out how to be champions until 4-5 years from now but not many people will be patient if it doesn't pay off.

Yea its going to take a while…team is crap at the moment. We missed some shots we get tight, game over. Rinse and repeat. Gonna take a while. We need offense. Every year we need offense.

Mosely has 10 games to get this team to show something.

He complained when he had to be the point-forward type. Now he’s not ball-dominant and worse than he’s ever been. Some guys just have to be the focal point - the main character. He’s starting to look like he can’t play well with others. There’s time to fix him, but he has to sign the authorization for the repairs. I don’t see him picking up the pen for a while.

Memphis is going to have a pick watch for us and Phoenix. Plus, Coward looks great tonight. Coward is 6-6 from 3 and has 27 so far.Ducklett wrote:Damn, I didnt think we would suck this bad. This is a lotto team currently.

I thought Paolo coming in would work best playmaking as a point forward from the top of the key kind of like Sabonis. But I think I overrated his passing and didn't realize how selfish he would be.
To work in the modern NBA I think he just has to get more comfortable on catch and shoot 3s and be more willing to move without the ball. Either that or become MUCH more efficient at how he does currently play to the point where you live with it. I'm just not sure he is that good at making tough shots to get there, he doesn't get the separation a guy like Shai does in the mid range and he fumbles the ball often trying to finish in traffic.

It's going to take time to clean all this stuff up....bottom line though the simplest path to making this right is just hitting shots....how many wide and I mean Wide open shots did we miss? Off the top of my head I remember counting 5 threes we missed that were wide open 15 points right there, lost by 11

He's not serious about wanting to be great. Tell me, what new moves/counters have you seen that you didn't see in year one? He puts out videos on the stuff he works on over the summer and its the same stuff he already was doing... taking bad, contested midrange shots

The fact that some of us called this outcome in this game before it even started is a root issue in its self.
As sad as it sounds I don't even wanna watch them anymore until something drastic happens. This is just straight up pathetic stuff.
Nothing changes no matter who choaches, no matter what players come in, no matter the front office. It's always the same crap. We need new ownership...smh
Yeah, the ownership will make the players on the court play better. This is an all time horrible post. Congratz.

So is Bane really gonna come here and shoot 31% on threes for the year. Lol I hope not.
I had my meltdown last night. I didn't expect a magical turnaround tonight, so this doesn't hit me as hard. I'm still disappointed but whatever. The tools are there to be a good team, it's on them to get it done.

11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.
- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Elite 3pt shooting once again. Seems like it doesn't matter who we bring in, at some point the coaches have to be held accountable. Still very early, Bane will get better, but this team has no depth and no center.
