The Andre Drummond game.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Barlow/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Nice to see confident and competent shooting outlets like Grimes for Maxey when teams double him and try to get the ball out of his hands. For 2 years oubre has been the most reliable option

We're tracking toward 82-0 but, unfortunately, VJ no longer has the highest ppg average in the history of basketball.

2 come-from-behind wins to start the season?? VJ Future??

So glad we dodged a bullet in Ace Bailey....

It's way too early to tell if we're for real. I think we're definitely going to be competitive for the most part. We're going to have to figure out our defense. Assuming Embiid is good for a max 24 MPG, we really need to find a backup center. Drummonds heart was actually beating tonight. If he could give us tonight every night, we'd be ok. I think Bona is bound for the GLeague soon. Johni Broome should get a look at some point, don't know when. Duop Reath is sitting on the bench in Portland. He might be worth inquiring about. Walker Kessler might be out of our price range, but he'd be perfect for us. We have lethal guard play, so we're going to be in games, but a big who can rebound and defend is going to take us to another level. Again, you're pairing this guy with Jo. My vote is Walker Kessler, but I doubt think we can afford him. 2-0 tho fools...I'll take it.

He secured the rebounds and moved well enough to pick up some players and contest some shots at the rim. He was the only big capable of doing those things tonight.

My bad Mr Grimes

Had same thought as I also didn’t watch him much last year. Felt like when he was catching and shooting or attacking close outs he was great, but a few times I thought he was over dribbling / he had one like fade away mid range that nobody should have the green light to take.

I can't believe how fun this team is. No expectations and everything is just gravy because we're actually entertaining.

I mean they are getting the minutes tho.

With Embiid on the minute restriction and Maxey not going to go for 40 every game. Pts have to come from somewhere other than the guard trio.

Luckily Oubre and Edwards stepped up. Hopefully this will help Edwards out of his funk, it think hes dealing with a minor hip injury.

This team has suddenly become must-see-TV without Jared McCain who is electric in his own right. PG ought to tread lightly.

Could have something special here…

my take as well

we're not going to be as consistently dominant as we have been in previous years. we don't have arguably the most dramatic (reg season) floor tilter in the league playing big minutes anymore, but we have fresh homegrown blood that's budding at the opportunity to shine

winning games because of heroic efforts from guys you watched your team draft is always going to feel a little bit sweeter and we're going to witness hopefully Maxey take the leap into All-NBA convos and VJ into whatever he wants to be

still have McCain to add to this team and Paul George, who, for as terrible a contract it is, was still a positive impact player last season, is 6'8 and hopefully should provide spacing and defense -- which will only aid Maxey/VJ/Grimes/whoever

Drummond was massive tonight. If he gives us this we can survive with limited mins from Jo. Jo will be back to 30 mpg soon though and he looked good tonight. Get back a healthy PG and McCain and we are dangerous!

Embiid not in prime form, its hard to believe they're going to be a top team. But loving the fighting spirit. A lot of guys I'm interested in watching and rooting for. Can't wait for McCain to get back.

Kessler is so fun, I think he can win a DPOY one day.

Read on Twitter

I'd move McCain for Kessler (Ainge wouldn't lmao) but Morey would have to commit to properly extending Grimes in that case.

Hypothetically say Utah wanted to give Filipowski the keys at the 5, Lauri at the 4, Ass Bailey at the 3 and then McCain to space as a combo guard with Keyonte George or Collier at point... you might have something.

Drummond will probably stop trying again soon & I have very little faith in Adem Bona.

A young core of Kessler/VJ/Maxey can win a championship one day if the person constructing the roster can get it right around them.
