This team playing like this without Coby (and Collins to a lesser degree) is very impressive. Winning this one with Buzelis as a non factor even more impressive. They can go 10+ deep on any given night, and Donovan can just ride the hot hands.

Elite is way too strong of a word, but I generally agree.

Kings are gonna be on the tail end of a 3rd game in 4 nights. Keep running for 3 quarters and they’ll run out of gas by the 4th like these Magic. Hawks technically are too in a 3-in-4 situation, but their back to back was yesterday/tonight.

Huerter played well too.

He had 24 points 10 rebounds 2 blocks. How is that being shut down?

I wouldn't say shut down, but he didn't look like a star, let alone superstar. I also feel like Paolo was getting his buckets on Okoro, who was just way too small to do anything. Pat made him look normal. He got physical with him and Paolo decided shooting a bunch of fade aways was a good idea.

Pat was very good against him.

Agreed, but Palolo has always been kind of a fake star IMO. Very inefficient for this era and he has a play style that's better suited for previous eras.

Among the young "stars" in the league he's probably the one I would least want.

True, but that's also kind of just Paolo's thing; inefficient volume scoring, though not usually this bad.

Hawks had Jalen Johnson, Kristaps Porzingis and Zaccharie Risacher all out tonight. Hoping there's a shot that some of them miss on Monday and the Bulls can more equalizers for the Coby absence.

Nah.

I want to play all these teams with their guys. Want to see what we’re made of.

I typically think like that but I want my mediocre team missing its best player to have a fighting chance.

Forgot about that, Billy should throw Ayo in for Okoro and lets go.

Watched the game with my sons and said that very thing… keep running and Magic will die in the 4th.

Tre Jones is an absolute gamer. His contract is ridiculous.

If these bench guys and role players keep playing like this it’s going to put a new spin on the return from the Lavine trade and we might even be able to do a little wheeling and dealing at the deadline.

As for Okoro, he looks terrible. But I’ve seen him play enough times to know he’s better than this nonsense. He’ll get better.

I think AK sadly will just resign everyone if we play well and make it to the playoffs.

I liked what I saw from Phillips too-not many minutes but he was active. Are we the deepest team in the league?

Crazy idea, but trade for Lauri or Zion, once their seasons tank. Move Matas to the 3

I think Okoro will be fine-just a weak start but he's playing hard

Billy is a good coach which is unfortunate because he takes us from tanking levels to being mid 6 years and counting

Paolo is uber talented and all-star level, but imo is severely inefficient. Feel like he settles for way too many fadeaways. Needs to just bully players down low.

Just got home after being out most of the night and I'm definitely a little toasted but that was one of the most fun Bulls games I have watched in years. This team plays together. Billy's rotations I thought were great. Game flowed fantastically. Sitting Dalen on the bench and playing Julian instead was great. He made a few really clutch plays actually. Pat continuing to play like he has a pulse. One of Jalen Smith's best games as a Bull. Giddey was solid as usual. TRE JONES. LOVE THIS DUDE. Our very own bargain bin Jalen Brunson. Vuc scoring on WCJ made me smile. What an absolutely awesome way to start the season.

We are three deep at center. What we need is a rim protector/rebounder. It would be nice to have a big 4 to help with that that could complement our 5s.

But how the hell Matas got 6 fouls in 12min? Refs were killing him or..?

Refs simply placed a bet on Matas' under before the game. I'm 100% certain of this and there's nothing to change my mind.
