I agree. Barger shouldn’t have made such a big deal out of it.

Win some, lose some. Yamamoto was on fire today and he pitched a great game. However, the Jays have to get back to fouling off pitches and having long at bats; I felt that they got away from that and settled for power but that’s what the dodgers wanted and got. We Can’t make it a pitcher’s series because our starters don’t last for more than 6 innings. We have to make contact and get their pitchers out sooner. Thats the only way we can win this series. I wouldn’t mind having bo as a dh just because we need as many consistent hitters in the lineup as possible. Once our bats go cold as it did in game 2, then we stand no chance against them. Hopefully, this is an aberration and we can go into LA and win a game or two there to see a third game back in Toronto on Friday.

Yoshi was 1 strike away from a no hitter last month, had a complete game last week, and then another complete game today. There are 4 complete games in the playoffs in the last decade and he has half of them. You just gotta tip your cap to greatness. Scary that he's only 27.

Springer would have to sit.Not only his knee bugging him.Bo,really sore for not playing for 8 weeks.Springer could use a day off, with his wrist etc bugging him now after being hit tonight.Maybe leadoff with Clement instead of George, and Bo at DH,but they probably wont/cant do that now.

Springer doesn’t want to play the outfield and the Jays don’t want to take the defensive hit

He won 3 consecutive Cy Young equivalent awards in Japan, and he loves making notes in his notebooks while he is pitching.Total dedication to pitching but we have a book on him now.He isnt perfect ,he is 12-8 this season.

Anyone know why we are starting mad max over Shane Bieber for gm3? The thought process?

Both are highly combustible so I guess the thought process must be that Max might be better equipped mentally/experience wise to handle a Game 7. Bieber was chased early in Game 7 of the ALCS and I guess they want to try something different should it happen again. :-?

The risk of course is that Max is very likely a gun with only 1-2 bullets left in the chamber and we've already fired one of them

How the hell are the Dodgers allowed to have so many All-Stars on their team? We get Glasnow next, then Ohtani. Snell in Game 5 again. Wtf! MLB needs to do something about this. It's ridiculous!

Cap how much these teams can spend. Deferring salary should not be allowed either. Such boooolshiiieeeet..

We can still win this in seven. Lose to Japan and beat Tampa.

I don't know about that...he was behind in almost every count until the 5th inning. Or maybe the 4th? I can't remember.

Plus....the bullpen vs bullpen matchup is the ONLY matchup that they don't completely dominate us on paper. So that's the exact thing we need.

Their lineup is clearly not better than the Jays.

Their batting lineup? Yes it is.
with Bo in the lineup you really think they are that much better? I don't see it.

Who cares man. We beat them 11-4 in game 1. We can do it again. Remember when the angels had trout and ohtani on the same team and couldn’t do ****?

Of course, winning games 3, 4 and 5 would also suffice to avoid facing Yamamoto again

I really don't think it was that type of game. We threatened in all three of the first innings. This wasn't some sort of "we can't score on that pitcher" type of performance aka Andrew Miller in 2016. Or something equivalent to a Skubal game.

We had him on the ropes. The two quick innings mid-game were the difference.

He got 20 straight batters out on a ridiculously hot offense

We had 6 baserunners in the first 3 innings. He pitched a great game. But it was not the type of thing where you would say his next game is an automatic loss. That kind of projection is when a guy goes through a game without pitching out of trouble or under stress/pressure.

They gotta play small ball when Yamamoto pitches... bunts, steals and squeeze plays to move the runner(s) over... I don't know why they didn't do it last night.

Super annoyed, ruined my night. Would've been great to be up 2 games but we got absolutely destroyed by Yamamoto.

Probably because they didn’t have any baserunners

Looks like we may have to beat him to win this series now so gotta hope to somehow get his pitch count up in a possible game 6.

We have to win the games he is not pitching..3 out of 4

we just have to win the next 3 games so we don't have to see him anymore.

easy.
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.
