im not down with anyone putting blame on melo. one dumb shot in an otherwise nearly flawless game.

mann was awful. miles played 1 good quarter. moose wasnt good. tiddy useless. sexton got tunnel vision when melo went out. we missed last 5 3pta, including two good looks from kon. drummond went nuts. refs have ft problem. lee was bad with rotations. and miller hurt.

dumb loss.

So far Kalk has done a lot better than I expected him to. Even if he doesn't ever figure out how to guard the perimeter, he'll be a 60% FG guy that defends the paint and has some offensive skill. Would like to see him pop a 3 every so often too.

Kon and Sion were pretty good too. Kon missed some shots, but still got 14pts. Not sure why Lee changed the rotation, hopefully this isn't the new Richards/Mark where he goes back and forth with who the starter is.

Maybe McNeeley gets in now that Brandon is hurt....

Wait. Brandon is hurt. Dang it. Well, it was a nice 2 games. Hopefully he isn't hurt for long.

This is my takeaway and will be a common theme.

The Sixers comeback seemed mostly spurred by Drummond abusing Kalk down the stretch. Offensive rebounds galore, converting missed FTs, etc.

Beating a dead horse but opting for Mann down the stretch was poor, poor coaching.

A couple of thoughts after dropping a game I really wanted for these guys. First, the other team shot 46% from 3. You aren't going to win every often when that happens.

Second, you have to learn to put the other team away on the road. If the crowd gets involved down the stretch it is going to be harder to hold on.

Third, they went 25/32 from the ft line (78%). We were 19/28 (67%). We lost the game by 4pts and missed 9 free throws. Almost every game the lossing team misses more fts than they lose by. A team that hit all their fts would win almost ever game.

Annoying loss, but my biggest take away from this game is that it's so refreshing to actually have depth. Even after Brandon went out, it feels like we always have contributors on the floor. Major change from prior years.
