What about a version of the current game where multiple drafters can pick the same franchise? You would have to declare which players you're picking from each franchise at the time you draft them - let's say a maximum of 3 players per franchise, with no more than one MVP or All-NBA First Teamer.

I like it.

Another twist might be allowing one 2nd teamer and one 3rd teamer instead of two non-1st teamers. This way we nerf the Celtics since Billups-Pierce would no longer be eligible with the same pick.

No more than 1 MVP/Multi All NBA First Team
No more than 2 All Stars per pick
No more than 3 players total per pick

4 rounds- you must use every round.

Does this mean there's no longer an overall limit on MVPs?

We can simplify with just a pair draft of same club pick, and maybe an overall two MVPs limit, unless you prefer the addition twist of deciding whether you take one, two or three players from a club.

I like the flexibility of being able to choose how many guys you want from a team.

Not sure what to do about team limits though- haven't thought the game all that far through. Perhaps Fade has.

I would keep the same team limits except with the tweak flaco suggested. I'd also allow people the option of finishing their team in three rounds if they so desire, with four being the maximum.

Upon further consideration, I don't even think we need any restrictions on how many players from each category you can take in a single round, given that we would already have the team limits in place. The big difference is that you have to make your decisions right away, rather than being able to pick and choose who you want up until the end of the draft. (Also, you can pick no more than three players at a time as mentioned earlier.)

So Pierce/Tatum/Billups is still possible?

No, because both Pierce and Billups have made All-NBA Second Team.

If you start it, I'm in. If you want me to start it, I'd be glad if you can send me the rules because I'm not sure I understood fully to define it

Can't really start it now as I'm still without a working laptop, plus the hurricane is set to make landfall soon so it's possible I could lose internet access at some point.

The changes from the previous game can by summarised as follows:

- Instead of drafting one franchise and getting all the draft history of that franchise, the same franchise can be picked by multiple people. That means you have to state the players you are using when you draft the franchise (max three players per turn). So if I pick Steph, Draymond, and Klay from the Warriors, that doesn't stop Snakebites from taking, say, Penny and Wilt with his pick.
- You can now only have one All-NBA Second Team player and one Third Team player, as opposed to two Second Teamers. Categories 1 and 2 remain unchanged.
- Depending on how you choose to pick, you can finish your team in either three or four rounds.

So we’re still capped at 4 all stars per team? 1 MVP?
