Ben Johnson has to speak to these penalties. The Bears are beating themselves.

A lot of handoffs and screens leading to 3rd and long.

Need to open it up a bit.

It’s up to him to convert when given opportunities, including 3rd and long.

So he needs to hero ball it then?

No, the pass to Rome on 3rd and 6th was perfect. We need more of that.

The Bears need to open it up on 1st down. They’ve been in 3rd and long all game.

He did the play that was drawn up. He played within the offensive and got the ball out. Thats what everyone is wanting from him. That 3 and out was not on him. Now some of that other garbage in the first half was.

Not every failed play is his fault, but he has to do more when given opportunities, like he just did on that 3rd and 6th to Rome.

why are they running the ball so much? it isn't working. aside from some poor decision making, the pass game is actually working.

Totally agree. But the opening 2nd half drive was playcalling. It was conservative because we were only down a score and sometimes you tip you cap to the D.

I’m glad they showed Williams pre snap. First play that I can recall that something presnap was consequential in a positive way.

Feel like we've shortened the game big time and it might backfire
