Not saying they win on their own, as Jokic needs Murray, and Giannis needs spot-up shooters, but they carry the offense even without scoring.
I'm not even sure if the Spurs will make the playoffs, given how packed the West is with high-IQ teams...

Could Shaq carry an offense? Or Wilt? Or Hakeem? Or Dirk?

Yes Hakeem, Shaq, Dirk are all high IQ players who could pass out of double-teams excellently.

Hakeem took a while to develop that skill, but when he did he was the most impressive of all, because he won without an all-star (in his first ring).
Dirk was also great at keeping his teammate involved, and Shaq was one of the better passers we've seen, of the elite centers.

And I don't know enough about Wilt, but obviously he was one of the more skillful players in history, and probably high IQ, and certainly could read the defense.
Wembanyama lacks the IQ at this stage, very raw in the playmaking department.

It's funny because I was just thinking & then I heard Windy just say it on his pod now too but Wemby's first game this season really did feel like that "He's Starting To Believe" moment in the Matrix lol where he just knows & acts like he's The One (don't think it's coincidence he chose that number *ahem).

Not sure if he can do (but I don't doubt it) this consistently but if he does (and continues to develop) that's a legit GOAT level domination that could be on deck with the biggest IF maybe of all time, if he can stay healthy. But if he stays playing at this level (and better), he could be top 2 and maybe even not 2 by end of season. That's not overreaction IF he keeps this level of play up, especially come Playoff time. But we can all see what the "hype" was now, it's terrifying what he might become. Area 51, Atlas 3/1....Vic will be #1! lol He is like an Alien, like a superhuman we've never seen before. I really pray this kid can stay healthy ie/ still needs to build up his legs imo (and have the stamina to play long seasons) because he could be the craziest player the league has ever seen.

I know we gotta chill & let him do it 1st but damn you can see the otherworldy potential.

His potential is truly endless.

That’s the worst game he has had all season lol

Worst game he has had so far this season... Still finishes with 31/14/4/6/3
Absolutely insane.

Wemby’s BBIQ is quite high for his age. I wouldn’t be worried at all about that

This is indeed very concerning.

For the rest of the league. LOL.

The Spurs are going to make the playoffs, guaranteed.

I really just want to see him finish this or a season playing 75 games, just to know his body can let him.

This guy is unreal. May turn out to be the best player in the league from this season going forward. His only obstacle is health imo.

This kid is special. He is proving everyone wrong with his defence and blocking. How it was always bullish narrative how you shouldn't go for blocks or you can't block anymore in today's NBA or play like that in the first place. A lot of posters here look awfully silly right now.

It's funny that he had 31/14 with 6 blocks and I felt it was just an okay game for him  he should have had 40+ again and missed a lot of bunnies and free throws

Yep. We've seen multiple-block possessions from guys like Ewing, Robinson and Olajuwon, and that's really good company to be in, for sure.

I want Wemby to keep this up and win MVP, DPOTY and MIP all in one go, he will have good case for all of those if Spurs record is around 50W - has it ever happened before?

I hope he’s healthy and as the biggest MJ fan there is I would be ok with Wemby in the GOAT conversation this is kid is insane and he brings it on both ends of the floor. If he gets enough chips he easily erases LeBron from the conversation. Fingers crossed I hope he’s does. He’s worthy of it.
