Magic, Hawks, and Rockets were all prime candidates for the “we anointed them way too early” offseason award. Rockets will still probably be good, but the jury is very much still out on the other two.

I think the Rockets are going to be really hurt by FVV's absence this season. Unless they trade for someone or Reed Sheppard turns it around, they're not going to be able to come close to replicating what they were expecting from him.

You're looking to be right about the Magic and Hawks. The Magic look like they still have the same 4th quarter offensive issues. And I really liked Atlanta's offseason, but it felt like they saw a weaker East and decided to try to replicate 2021 of everything falling into place for them but that was as much luck as anything else.

I think if I was an NBA player trying to score at the rim on Wemby and didn't have the angle to get it on the glass quickly, the only option would be to try to dunk it as hard as humanly possible and at the very least make him feel something (pain or pity).

Watching Gabe Vincent, Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin and Max Strus be ass still makes me so salty about 2023. These guys have done nothing since that flukey ass playoff run and yet could've hit a three through a sewing needle against the Bucks in 2023.
