Just get to the bottom of the East and let Adam Silver do the rest

Re: 2026 NBA Draft (Part I)
So If Boston can draft either Cameron Boozer or AJ Dybantsa, do we offer a trade for Cooper Flagg?? or keep... serious question.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Flagg is going to be way better than both of them imo

I think it's becoming painfully obvious how great just the gravity of Tatum is. I'm all in on the tank. The NBA is rigged...so get into the top 5 and let Adam do the needful

Or maybe pick Peterson and be set for another decade

The conspiracy theorist in me looks at it like this
1) NBA draft has seemed very shady in the past (Cavs, Knicks, Dallas etc)
2) NBA's dumb rules forced Boston to be the first team to be forced to break up a legit longtime contender
3) Then our star got hurt
4) So happens to be a local kid in this draft who wants to play badly for Boston and would be a brilliant fit on the team

Not opposed to a Flagg AJ core, but they wont do that.
White/Pritch
Brown/Hugo
AJ/Minot
Tatum/Hauser
???????/queta
They need desparately to find a center that isnt a total DUD, that is it...team is locked and loaded and LETHAL.

I’d lean on the keep side….this years top 3 are rated higher than Flagg in some outlets.
Jordan Walsh > Lonnie Walker and Charles Bassey

Re: 2026 NBA Draft (Part I)
Given our team needs Chris Cenac Jr. seems like a good target if they don’t get top 3.

Yeah, also trades like that pretty much never happen. That would be like if we drafted JB, then the next year traded him for Fultz.
Those types of deals pretty much never happen.
Top 3 picks very rarely get traded. Unless it's a swap of like Tatum for Fultz or Trae for Luka (where it's 2 guys in same draft class. even then, very rare and luka/trae weren't even both top 3 picks..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Why do you say that?
Boozer, AJ and Peterson are all rated as better prospects than Flagg.
Flagg was the best prospect in a while and a clear number one so got a lot of hype, but these three guys appear to be equal or better. It’s early though for all of them, but I don’t think there is any evidence that Flagg will be clearly better.

Re: 2026 NBA Draft (Part I)
As much as I like Dybantsa and think he will be a stud and it would be awesome to have a "local" kid play on the team it does create more potential problems (you all but HAVE to trade Brown for a center and ideally a PG and run a PG/White/AJ/Tatum/Center lineup, which I am very fine with as I think Brown has 100% peaked and is starting to show wear....)
How can you pass on Peterson if you get the number 1 pick....Kid is looking better and better and better...my god.
Peterson is a Kobe type of player-3 level scoring, able playmaker, ELITE defense, awesome size, excellent athleticism.
AJ is a McGrady type of player.
White/Pritchard
Peterson/Hugo
Brown/Minot
Tatum/Hauser
???/Queta
I mean you can still probably look to trade brown as he would be the 3rd option who thinks he is a capable #1

I"m sure he's a guy on our front office's radar. He's still out with a torn ACL. But from some of the clips and interviews I've seen, he's progressing nicely and should hopefully make a full recovery.
Really a bummer he got hurt. Hit a couple of 3's in his last game before the injury, too.
It's a situation to monitor, though. If he ends up missing most of the season, he could slide in the draft to a spot where we could take him..

Eh, idk. I think the 3 guys at the top of this class and Flagg..it's debatable who's better than who.
Also a hard comparison to make fairly, since we saw Flagg's entire freshman season and summer league, preseason, some NBA games now..the freshmen this year have only played 1 game so far at the college level..

Yup, same.
Also I didn't see this but saw the box score, my man Koa Peat put up 30/7/5/1/2 in his first game against the national champs? Is that for real???
