The offense doesn't necessarily look pretty right now but it hasn't been the issue. This team is scoring efficiently through 3 games. The D has been the issue, have to hope more reps together will eventually improve things like they did last season and that the fouling settles down at some point. It's just killing us right now and taking guys out of rhythm.

Is this team better than the '21-22 team?

Maybe Darko scales back on the pressing defense.

"Solid" on a team that wasn't trying to win. This team doesn't know how to win yet.

Agbaji's defense was his strength last season and that had nothing to do with the team being bad. He just hasn't helped them at all so far this season.

That's probably the bright side to look at is it doesn't feel like we are playing great offensively but the results have been pretty good.

This team has 2 starters who can defend and maybe 2 bench players. The coaching staff has a ton of work to do.

The only guys on this team I can see being real impact players are Barnes and Yak and that's if Yak can actually move out there and Barnes doesn't shoot as poorly as he did last season .

Start with the paint, not the inbound under their basket...too far.

He's closer to average than elite defensively. If you're not elite, you're not going to impact every game on that end.

Disappointing game, especially the 3rd quarter. Scottie's got to read a book on stoicism and get more mature. Reffing was one sided, and we missed most of the 50-50 balls. I do think they played a lot hungrier than we did.

Our defense needs to be more sound. CMB looked a bit shook, hopefully just first game jitters.

Jak way too passive and undecisive out there. He goes through stretches like this, I expect him to be better. But we were getting getting bullied by Dallas' frontline.

In general, I don't think this front office has prioritized positional size and functional athleticism enough. We still don't have a lob threat big man as a release valve. Jak just isn't that guy.

This team looks soft and low intensity.

I think it's more that they don't look connected than just personnel right now. Just a ton of missed rotations and blow bys with guys not turning their heads or slow to help.

Jak is going though one of his stretches of timid, passive play.
