Randle and divo should be enough……..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to trade for LaMelo. He had 38 13 and 13 in a win tonight. It’s our destiny

I wonder if we are best with Deuce as a starter. I feel like he has surpassed Josh, at least when it comes to the 5 guys who should finish the game (Jalen, Deuce, Mikal, OG, KAT).

I'm on the fence with Huk as a starter. Maybe he just need more experience there and he'll come around?

I'd rather have Miller than Bridges, that's for damn sure

Those were some wild lineups out there. Offense relied on Brunson and would have been blown out without him.

I did not think Miami was this good since we swept them last season.

Honestly mikal was solid today. And this is coming from me being a day 1 mikalikina hater. KAT, yabu, Clarkson were infuriating tonight. Giving OG a pass cause his trade was the best trade in Knicks history.

I would love nothing more than to blow it up and build around Lamelo but the bridges trade took away our ability to pivot to a proper rebuild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

per Mike Brown (from the first 4 minutes of the post-game conference:

- We want to generate 20 sprays a game. We had 14.

- Losing the possession game and lack of free throw attempts were main reasons for the loss.

- Heat had 45 transition points against us.

- We can't give up 15 free throws in the 3rd and 9 transition points in the 3rd, they had talked about BOTH in half time. That's where the game is won or loss.

- "Could we have played better offensively? Yes, but it's gonna be hard to win against vs a good team on their home floor if you give up that many fast break points and transition baskets and send them to the free throw line 31 times"

- Josh is still learning on the fly, KAT is still learning on the fly

"You saw the last 8 minutes, you touch the paint, you spray it, you don't go too deep. If you got a guy closing out on you, snap drive it, keep the dominoes falling, let somebody else come in and help, now you spray it. We didn't get that rhythm until late in the game which is fine, we'll figure it out. That's why I'm okay with that, that's still a learning curve. But what I'm not okay with, and it all kind of ties together, is us fouling, and us giving up 45 transition baskets. It doesn't matter how you play offensively, especially when you're still trying to find your way, you can't give points to your opponent like that. It's tough to overcome vs a good team on their home floor."

Other notes:

- "First half we had 13 UNCONTESTED threes and went 4 for 13. We have to take those shots. If you are open, you gotta shoot it, because I don't know if we're gonna get a better shot. I truly believe we'll knock those down. Landry was 0 for 4 from three, he's a better shooter than 0 for 4. Jordan was 0 for 4. That's two guys 0 for 8. KAT missed his first 6 and those are looks he normally takes. If KAT is open, I want him to let it fly. I can't tell you if all 54 shots were good threes, but I know we had the right person, right people taking them."

"IF YOU ARE OPEN, LET IT FLY AND WE WILL LIVE WITH IT"

Soon we’re gonna need to have a convo about our offense under Mike brown. Looks like a complete downgrade.

Like this is our one shot to win it all in the Brunson era imo but yet we still feel so far away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’d get swept by the thunder, nuggets,Rockets, twolves and any other top 6 team in the west as currently constructed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that’s if we can beat a fully healthy cavs team in the ecf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The future and if we’re all being honest with ourselves the present is truly bleak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ravenxvirall wrote:Ok I’ve got a couple questions. If Kat is that limited with the quad why is he playing every game? Also why the hell is Robinson out still? Did he hurt himself in the offseason? Or are we holding him for a trade? I’ll add another question, if this bench doesn’t start to get hot do we package a higher end guy to get two or three contributors?

I don't know how bad KAT's injury is but with Mitch constantly out it doesn't make it easy for him to rest imo. A Huk/Yabu/Jemison center rotation for any extended period of time could tank the season. It's part of the reason I am open to trading Mitch.

Mitch possibly being healthy for the postseason is great but I have watched iHart and KAT play through injury over the last couple years trying to hold down the fort with Mitch out. We need someone to help carry more of the load for 82 games and the postseason.

 do y'all believe we were gonna go 82-0? We are a 50-55 win team. Is it really necessary to make sky is falling posts after every loss??????????!!!!!!!!

Tough game against the Bucks coming up. They lost a close game against the Cavs tonight

Their entire supporting cast around Giannis lets it fly from three. They're giving GIannis a lot of room to operate inside, and as a result he is averaging 36/16/7 in under 33 mpg.

Do not sleep on Gary Trent Jr, AJ Green, and Ryan Rollins.

It looks like the Knicks coaches are trying to combine the Pacers and Celtics offense, threes and fast pace. They shot themselves out of the game like the Celtics losses against us in the playoffs.

It's just 3rd game of preseason, no sweat on that.

OG is really good all around but he can't create.
Bridges is just ok.
KAT isn't that special at it.
...maybe Clarkson. A little bit of Kolek. And that be it.
Hart in the open court. But now his finger is busted and he sucks.

And somehow, they got some "shooters" but none of them are that good at shooting.

Brown's offense just looks like a bunch of DHOs and trying too hard to run too many KAT/JB pick and rolls.
The movement isn't that great.
It doesn't generate a lot of easy looks.

8th seed.

FO f*cked up multiple ways.
Roster construction sucks.
Brown is average as hell.

Brown is just trying to get some bogus easy baskets by getting some trailing 3's so he can run up the score a little so it looks like they are playing faster. It's a scam. There isn't anything fast or creative about this offense.

Knicks peaked last year.

It's over. Enjoy the fact they are at least a winning team for the next few years because that's as good as it's getting.

They never replaced what Randle gave the team. At the end of the day you can’t depend on anyone other than Brunson to create for others.

I know it's late on the east coast, so I don't expect a whole lot of discussion about the game right now, but I hope some of you guys can take time during the day to dissect what Mike Brown said about the offense and defense.

Just let me know if you think it's fluff, or if Mike is actually on the right track.
